The view is amazing

We loved our time at Kona Reef, the view was amazing and we enjoyed watching whales, dolphins and turtles from the lanai! The unit was stocked with everything we needed. It was a perfect unit for 2 couples traveling together. Can’t wait to come again!

We really loved everything about this condo; the location - both next to the ocean and close to town, parking, cleanliness, noise level, and comfortable inside furnishings and on the balcony.

Excellent Location and Beautiful View

We enjoyed being within walking distance of many restaurants and shops in downtown Kailua-Kona. And the view from our balcony was a perfect way to start the day with coffee and enjoy the sunset in the evenings.

AMAZING

We loved the condo and the management team was always available to answer any questions The location is ideal. The absolute best view of the ocean and coastline..and a short walk to town or the beach. We look forward to returning next year.

Enjoyable stay at Kona Reef

Condo was clean and very comfortable. Parking was a little problematic at times; we needed to park on the street because no stalls available in garage or lot. We really loved our stay here!

Great Girlfriends Getaway!

This was my 2nd stay in this unit. It really works well for us with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The views are spectacular- we saw a lot of whales from the lanai this trip, along with surfers, outriggers going by, etc. I can't wait to visit again!

Beautiful property and Great Location

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. We had everything we needed, including beach chairs, umbrella and paddle board. Kitchen supplies were complete, they even have rice cooker. The location is the best-close to everything. This unit is sooo clean and so comfortable! We will definitely stay here again!

Peaceful Hawaiian Vacation

Enjoyed our stay, perfect location with all the needed amenities to make our stay very comfortable. The only complaint is the difficulty in opening and closing the sliding lanai door. Would choose this unit again if we return. Mahalo!

D31 wonderful condo and the oceanside setting is great!

It is a great complex to enjoy not only the condo but the pool, bbq, the surf and sounds. It is perfect to walk to all sites at Seaside Kona, which has to offer! Love it here and will stay here again! If you want to have vacation and still feel you have a home here! This is the place! All the amenities were great! A/c was central and worked great! It has a good hawaiian feel as you come to understand the Hawaiian way and how to adjust to your vacation. Had many great nights at the bbq and pool and then walk a short way for some gelato or shave ice! I will definitely come again and to this unit D 31! Thank you!

Fantastic condo

Place was terrific. One thing to note that should be fixed is the sliding glass door to the balcony can lock when closing and lock you out on the balcony. Luckily someone was inside to open when this happened to me.

Beautiful location, but needs renovation

We loved the location and the view. Spectacular view over looking the ocean. For the price that we paid ($4K for only 1 week!) we were surprised by the poor quality of the interior. The carpet was a mess, appliances rusty, dozens of small holes in the kitchen floor tile, sink completely plugged up in the master bathroom, the patio lock didn't work right and locked us out of the condo, and, there was no way back inside. The place really needs to be renovated and upgraded. Also, I specifically booked this condo because it was listed as having two twin beds in the guest room but only had a queen. I needed two beds in that room. Overall, it was a great location, but not worth the price. I would not stay in this specific condo again, but we love Kona Reef.

Kona vacation

Location of the unit was great. Ocean facing with a great Lanai to sit on any time of the day to enjoy the ocean and it’s warm breeze. Pool and common areas were well kept and folks staying there were lovely and respected your privacy but were great to chat with too. The suite is laid out well for two couples. Decor and amenities in the suite are dated but function. We ran out of toilet paper by end of day 3 and there was no more to be had so we had to leave. All the supplied items like detergent were minimally provided for our short stay.

Great unit

This was our 4th stay at the Kona Reef and our 1st in this unit. We loved it. The unit is spacious and airy and well laid out. While it has central air, we didn’t use it. Keeping the doors & windows open did the trick. The shutters on the windows are a nice touch - they really let us control air flow and light. The view is absolutely amazing - bring binoculars. I got to be quite adept at spotting turtles in the tidal pools below. Melissa from Sunquest was a joy to work with. Very professional, pleasant & acccommodating. She made a fabulous vacation even better.

Filthy

Location and view beautiful. All the rest is unacceptable. The sliding glass door is broken, you know this because you have a sign on it rather than fixing it. The carpet is so dirty you would not want to be barefoot, stained and filthy. The louver doors on the prime bedroom is so full of dirt and dust you can’t even clean it could be a nice place but the pictures don’t show how distressed and filthy it is. Mold in the bathroom.
