「We arrived to a welcoming warm softly lit cabin which was appreciated after our long drive. Beautifully decorated, there was everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Sitting on the deck with a hot drink we enjoyed the peace and beauty of the misty mountains and lush green pastures where kangaroos and wombats grazed. 「Lots of wildlife, well located, very comfortable, but unfortunately what let it down was the terrible lighting. Couldn’t read by it or knit by it. Think you really need much better lighting.」

「We had a beautiful weekend away here! The property is stunning and right in the bush. It was a little hard to find as we arrived in the dark but was worth it. The property looked like the photos and the outdoor shower was great! The kitchen is decently stocked and the bbq works great! We would love to stay again」

「The views from the property were great. The studio was disappointing. The floors were dirty upon arrival, the curtains were filthy and torn. The single chair in the living was torn and in disrepair. There was no water in the small Kitchen area so you were carrying water from thhe bathroom. There wasn't enough tea bags. 」

「We chose to have a very quiet Xmas this year. Staying for 4 nights at Heron’s Rest was peaceful calm and serene. The surroundings and scenery are beautiful with the dam taking centre stage with lotus flowers bobbing and blooming. A glass of wine on the pontoon and watching our dog get control of her ‘Pontoon legs’ was very entertaining! We had everything we needed in the accommodation. The skyscraper loaf of bread was sublime. We would definitely return. Thanks again to our hosts.」
