An exceptional heritage property that just oozes charm and uniqueness. Everything about the Baber Mahal was wonderful, the location, the room, and the unique setting with a courtyard full of individual shops and restaurants aside of the hotel’s main dining. The spa offers great (not too inflated) treatments and the pool a lovely addition for a quick cool off. A wonderful sanctuary in the middle of Kathmandu and we will certainly return.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of Kathmandu!

This hotel was amazing! The architecture was beautiful, the service was excellent and our large room was magnificent! We would stay here again if we were ever to travel to Kathmandu again.

I am a frequent traveller and I can honestly say this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff were fantastic, the hotel is beautiful, characterful and spotlessly clean. It’s a bit of a warren which adds to the period feel. I really hope I have the opportunity to return soon and if you are travelling to Kathmandu I have no reservation in recommending this hotel.

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. It's a stunning collection of architecture from different periods in the history of Nepal. The staff were so helpful and friendly throughout, and the restaurants were excellent

Beautiful hotel

The hotel is beautiful located in a quieter neighborhood in Katmandu.Anish at the front desk and every employee at the hotel went above and beyond! The restaurant was delicious and the waiters were very accommodating! We enjoyed a wonderful massage at the spa! We definitely recommend this hotel!

The staff were the high;ignition of this hotel. They bent over backwards to ensure my comfort. For example, when I asked about an upgrade, they quickly upgraded my room to one of their “modern” rooms. Once I moved into this superb room my satisfaction was guaranteed. The included breakfast was small but very adequate with fresh juice, fruits, and many other local as well as western dishes. I really loved the coffee.

All the staff were welcoming and informative, the breakfast was excellent and the staff there were great as well. It has a sauna and a pool which we utilized. It's a beautiful place tucked away from the traffic and noise of Kathmandu.

A charming hotel with charming staff. Lots of dark wood and glass chandeliers, beautifully decorated and very comfortable rooms, all in excellent condition. If you want an authentic Nepalese place this is the place to stay. My sister and I had the villa which was amazing with our very own balcony and courtyard which no one visited. Breakfast was wonderful, there are quite a few restaurants and the food was superb in all of them. There was a quaint little bar, outside areas with heaters if needed. The Nepalese people are generally the nicest people, always helpful and friendly. Their English was great so that certainly makes it easier. Tick of approval.

The hotel had its charm and it was pleasant being there but it wasn’t close to anything and the area isn’t clean, sidewalks are broken up and the traffic was nerve racking. The staff were very helpful and breakfasts were very good.
