"When I thought “I need somewhere for my family to stay that would be a perfect jumping off point for the big island as well as a quiet home base” I had no idea I would find exactly that here.Simply put: this place was perfect."

"This is a beautiful property with ocean-front views and the sound of surf at night.Well appointed kitchen. Basically everything we needed was there. There were plenty of "active holiday" extras like flippers and masks, chairs, repellant and first-aid supplies. Sitting on the lanai watching the sun go down never lost its charm.There are many good snorkeling beaches ranging from walking distance (just next door) to Mauna Lani (about 50 minutes drive).But there were a few niggles, which meant this was a 4-star review.1. With windows open and AC all off, there was a constantly-running roof mounted fan that sometimes kept me awake on quiet ocean periods. I'm guessing it was the extractor for the bathrooms. When the sea was loud, I didn't hear it and it didn't bother me.2. The master bed was a weird fold-up, which meant it was not possible to comfortably sit up in bed because there was no headboard.3. The sliding screen doors were all difficult to use without coming of the rail and jamming. We had the maintenance people out twice without really fixing the root cause."

"Great property. Safe, quiet, clean, and well manicured property close to everything with a beautiful view and lanai. Only drawback is not having A/C. Temps stayed above 85 most days which made coming back to a muggy hot condo a bit deflating. Unit has 6 ground fans, but only 3 working. Not sure why it doesn’t have at least a portable swamp cooler. Very efficient. Next time I’ll pay the extra to have AC."

"The unit was very clean and comfortable. The only issue I had was that I travelled alone and the outside door light was out as well as the one at the bottom of the outside stairs where my unit was. I did let Tracy know the day after I got there, but it wasn't replaced during my stay. Not a big thing in the scheme of life, but I can't see well at night. Still all in all, a lovely place for my vacation to stay. Thanks so much. (Oh, just a couple of fyi's - tell others to watch those steps going down to the living area - especially @ 3 in the am! I sat the garbage can there to make sure I didn't forget - HA. Also, some lovely kitties would show up every morning on the patio - I didn't feed them, but be sure to keep the screen closed or they might come in.)"

"We could not have asked for a better experience than we had with this condo and owner! The condo was perfect for our family; the views from the lanai were just so beautiful, the location was ideal for all of our adventures across the island, and it was walking distance to shopping and some really good restaurants. Everything was sparkling clean and I can say with no hesitation that all of the little touches the owner provided, such as kitchen and household items, beach chairs, beach towels, and coolers, made the trip so easy and enjoyable. Michael clearly cares that his guests have a great vacation and has put a lot of effort into making sure the condo exceeds expectations and that any questions are answered very quickly. We hope to return to the Big Island sooner rather than later and will definitely stay here again. Thanks for everything Michael!"

"Lovely stay overall, with a few caveats..Condo photographs well but came up slightly short in person. Pros: clean, well-stocked kitchen, towels and beach gear provided, massive dvd library, wristbands provided for access to property pools/gymCons: condo has very poor lighting throughout, mismatched kitchen bulbs (some bright/ some dim), many non-working outlets, no sleeping pillows provided for pullout, largely outdated. Would consider returning if some updates were addressed."
