Community Pool! Sunroom and Lagoon View, Greenslake Cottage with 2 bedrooms

This nicely appointed cottage is almost ground level, so fewer stairs to climb after a full day of beach and biking! It features a crisp, open kitchen, fully equipped, with counter seating for 4. Tastefully furnished throughout, the cottage exudes a relaxing, breezy feel that makes you want to keep coming back! The lovely dining area seats six, while the main living area provides plenty of comfortable seating, as well as a large TV for catching up on favorite shows and movies. The trundle bed in the sunroom is perfect for lounging with a great beverage and a beach read, enjoying the birds around the lagoon, or as an extra sleeping area for 2.
Bedroom 1: King Bed, bathroom ensuite with walk-in shower, TV.
Bedroom 2: Two Twin Beds, bathroom ensuite with bathtub-shower combination, TV.
Sunroom: Trundle Bed in sunroom sleeps 2.

Greenslake Cottages provide a larger floor plan than other 2 bedroom villas on the island, and are single story, so there are no units above or below them. Situated in a tucked away location in the West Beach Village, they are in close proximity of many of Kiawah’s most treasured sights and activities, including a short walk to the beach and access to the community pool**.

Well-stocked, quiet, and clean!

Our week long stay June 1st-8th was tremendous! The cottage was very pretty, and situated adjacent to one of the golf courses on a quiet court. We were overjoyed with how well-stocked things were, right down to basics like spices (even coffee!). Having two choices for the coffee maker was really great. There was ample paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, facial soap, and other toiletries. We made most of our meals in, had lobster rolls a couple of times. The Harris Teeter at Freshfields Village had a nice selection of everything (the crabcakes were great). It's even close enough to bike to. Look for various events during the week there. There was a decent farmer's market, and even live music one evening. Do go get a drink and appetizer at Rider Cup Bar. We cycled all over the island - a must, even though our butts were sore, haha We realized by about mid-week that we had been walking to the wrong "public" beach entrance - the county one. Instead, it is closer to follow the path directly around the pool, and find the beach entrance near where it lets out. We spotted a few dolphins at low tide at Captain Sam's Inlet, but you have to watch for low tide to get this lucky. We worked 2 of the 500-piece puzzles during our stay, and watched a small gator on the pond just off the rear porch. Communication with property management (Susie) was always courteous and efficient.

Great place

This was a very nice place to stay at and is accurately represented in the description. It is a single level, end unit, which is nice. Never heard any sound from the adjacent unit. The lagoon/pond in the back is nice and tranquil and it is a relatively short walk to the beach, about 7 to 9 minutes. Kiawah in general is a fantastic place to stay. The host was extremely responsive and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great house!

We had a great vacation at this house on Kiawah! The house was clean and very easy to live in. We particularly appreciated that there were sharp kitchen knives, which can be rare in vacation houses. Susie was very accessible and answered the questions we had quickly. The house is a quick (5-7 minute) walk/bike ride to the beach and on the beach ~1 mile walk to see the dolphins at low tide. Wonderful experience overall!

Perfect stay!

We had a wonderful experience at the Greenslake cottage! The location is perfect! It is an easy walk to the pool and beach. We found it helpful to have a wagon to carry our beach gear. Our 4 and 8 year old boys found the walk fun and easy. There are bike trails at the end of the cul de sac that bring you right to the beach and straw market - good ice cream!. We loved going to the outdoor concerts at fresh fields and Night Heron Park. The condo itself is beautiful- newly renovated. The kitchen is very well stocked. We cooked or grilled on the back porch almost every night. Susie was super helpful and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this cottage!

Beautiful cottage, perfect location!

We had a great time and loved the size and location of the cottage. It was the perfect size and I love the open floor plan. The renovations are beautiful and tastefully done, with updated kitchen and bathrooms. Everything was clean and well stocked. The sunroom in the back was my favorite place to sit for meals and wind down after a day of bike riding and the beach. The cottage is located near the front of the island which was the perfect distance to ride to Night Heron Park and Fresh Fields with our 6 year-old son, with just a short walk to the beach. The owner was very prompt and helpful and easy to contact. I would definitely recommend this property.
