Beautifully constructed wood cabin with own entrance and private secret garden next door to a popular cafe in Kigali. Great location - quiet but central - close to bus links and valley walks.
The space
The cabin is 3m by 4m and has two floors. It has been meticulously designed to utilise all the space in the most efficient way. Downstairs you have your own kitchen with electric induction hob, sink, fridge and all necessities. There is a sofa with extendable dining table that fits 4, window seat overlooking the garden. Next to the kitchen/ living room you have a double bed room (access to bed at the end not at sides) with hanging space and shelving units. Up some slightly steep stairs and you get to the second floor with panoramic views over garden and valley. Here there is a small desk overlooking the garden too. There is also a queen sized bed, but careful not to hit your head - low ceiling here! You also have access to your own private bathroom, with a great shower and plenty of hot water.
Our the back door and you get to the patio and garden, great for lazy breakfasts!
Note that the house is next to a cafe and so there may be some noise coming from here which usually finishes around 9-10p.m.
While the cabin has been well designed with all comforts in mind, it is mostly suitable to adventurous types.
Live-in guard on site.
Guest access
The cabin and its garden and bathroom are private areas just for you with their own door to access them. To get to the cabin you will need to go past the kitchen door to the cafe.
Other things to note
There can be a bit of noise from the cafe and staff until 9/10 and rarely 11 pm. Not loud, but if you are early light sleeper this might be a small problem.
