Week in Kill Devil Hills

Property was as advertised. Nothing our group needed was missing, location was prime, and house was clean. The backyard is everything it appears and more. For the price, there’s no where in the Outer Banks we would have rather stayed.

Obx getaway

The log cabin was beautifully decorated and for our needs for 8 people. The backyard is amazing and would be great to enjoy in the summer months! Bikes in the garage were a nice addition, but would have liked a few helmets.

You won't want to leave!

This house makes you feel right at home! The house offered everything our family needed for our stay and then some! The house is also very well maintained by the homeowner. The pictures of the home on Vrbo are very accurate of what you find in the home. The quality of the furnishings, beddings, decor, and other things in the home are top notch. Not to mention that back yard - Amazing! The house is located on a cul-de-sac, which allowed the kids to ride bikes and play with other neighborhood kids. The subdivision is right behind Publix grocery store, which is so convenient. And the public beach parking just across the main road from that. This was our first time using Vrbo instead of the local rental companies and was impressed with the experience.

Cute cabin with great hosts!

The house and property were darling! It was clean, comfortable, and just what we needed. We loved working with the hosts who were kind and helpful. Also, being 7 minutes from the beach was great :)

Had to take garbage cans out on day of arrival. They were full. Of yard waste. Had to empty the dehumidifier it was full. Had to use blankets over windows. Some windows nothing covering at all. The windows that had curtains you could see thru very clearly after dark and a light on, even in bathrooms. Taylor was great and answered quickly for any questions we had. Im sure she is truing to do a great job.

House was clean and had everything needed for a great weekend at the beach. The only disappointment was no propane for the grill, but there are lots of stores very close by so we were able to get some pretty quickly.

Just back from a long weekend at The Cabin in Kill Devil Hills, and wow did it deliver. Open the door and you’re hit with that “fresh wood” smell, like someone just sealed a treehouse in sunshine. This is the real-deal log cabin, too: thick pine rounds stacked and chinked, exposed beams you want to run your hand over, quirky angles that make the place feel one-of-a-kind. Somehow it still feels beachy, not backwoods—think cedar-scented surf shack. Layout is perfect for families. My husband and I grabbed the king room downstairs (easy bedtime escape), while our two teens owned the upstairs—two big bedrooms, each with a pair of queens, no bickering. Both baths are bright and newly tiled and so CLEAN! They’ve stocked every gadget—Keurig, blender, decent knives—so no hauling our own. When rain rolled in, we stretched across the giant sectional, queued up a movie, and listened to the storm drum on the logs. Outside is even better. Massive fenced yard strung with Edison bulbs, a hammock perfect for stargazing, grill, and a fire pit that turned into nightly s’mores therapy. The outdoor shower has twin rain heads and endless hot water, so sand never crossed the threshold. They nailed the beach gear: bikes, chairs, umbrellas, towels all waiting in the garage. We pedaled to Avalon Pier in five, strolled to the 1st Street access for sunrise shells. The hosts were so sweet and welcoming. Best. Vacay. Ever!

Well done!

Comfortable, quiet, peaceful and close to all the places we wanted to see. Very comfortable and clean bedding, well stocked bathrooms and kitchen. Sweet little touches everywhere! Loved it!!!
