The Riverside Hotel, was a good place to stay, although a bit of a walk into town (I try not to drive once I have checked in). The evening meal was good, although it did take an exceptionally long time taking our order and bringing us our food, we never got our dessert - as a coach party of Europeans had arrived just before we did. (This was taken off the bill after I complained) The bar was fine, and not busy, the coach party did partake in after-meal drinks. The bedroom was large and well-equipped. Reception Staff were all friendly and attentive.
Was a quick place to sleep for us after a long day of travel. Didn’t use any of the facility. Did some things in the area and then moved on because of our schedule. No complaints. Would stay there again.
Lovely hotel, nice friendly staff. Service was excellent. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. Great location to travel from. If you are looking for a nice relaxing place, I would recommend this hotel.
Overall nice hotel. Lobby was nice and
Clean, check in was quick and pleasant. Triple only had one large towel so requested two more and service was very fast. Beds were very aoft. We thought toilet didn’t flush and used lobby toilet but it might have been a different flushing system- maybe a sign for us foreigners that don’t know any better!! Easy distance to walk into town!
Accommodation staff need more attention to detail in bedrooms. More communication between reception and bar about timing. We were told last orders were 11pm and out for 11 30pm, supervisor decided to do last orders for 10.40pm because he had an incident the previous weekend.
Also, more training needed on waiting staff. Witnessed a waitress stick her finger in glass of apple juice to remove what was in the glass a give it to a guest.
we paid 226 euro for a 2 night stay we had to book a table in the bar to have something to eat there was 2 families of us with 2 small children and on the first night we had to travel into town to eat as they said all the tables were booked the bar only opened at 5 o clock and you couldnt go in and get a drink not even to bring to your room we have stayed in other hotels which were sticking to the covi guideines but still treated us far better than the riverside killarney will never stay their again
Easily accessible from train station, about 25min walk. Also only a stone throw to enter the National Park and close to the castle too. Great staff and comfy rooms. Plenty of good food nearby.
Hotel location was within 15mins walking distance to Killarney.
Rooms were very nice. Staff very friendly.
Only minor niggle was the room we were in, 311, being next to some kind of pump (water or heating?) just outside the window which started at around 6am and ran until 11pm. My partner didn’t notice it but it did annoy me.
Overall it was a pleasant one night stay. Mattress in my room needs replacing. Food is not a positive aspect. Dinner in bar was only fair. The ribeye I had was possibly old. It had an unpleasant smell. Breakfast buffet is quite meagre.
Staff are very pleasant and helpful.
We were down in Killarney for the Munster Dancing Championship and stayed in this hotel.
We were delighted with everything about this hotel, very clean, bright, staff very pleasant and friendly.
Will be back there whenever we are in Killarney and we recommend it to anyone who is visiting Killarney.
