"We spent two lovely weeks at the Brownstown Lodge. The house is spacious and comfortable. It was a good base for our exploration of western Ireland. Thomas responded immediately to our texts. Jim and Mary were wonderful hosts. There was cake and a lovely bouquet of fresh flowers waiting for us upon arrival. Midway through our stay, Mary brought us a delicious homemade rhubarb crisp! We loved the peaceful country setting. We are in a hotel now in Dublin. . .missing the comforts of the Brownstown...

"Beautiful house, very well equipped in a lovely, quiet spot convenient for Claremorris and the airport. Small herd of alpacas in the field beside the house are a delight. John and Sarah were happy to help with anything we needed and were very kind and accommodating when a storm disrupted our travel plans. Would highly recommend."

"We enjoyed a fantastic week at this wonderful property in a stunning location on Lough Mask. The facilities are excellent and Thomas (the host) was brilliant - so kind, thoughtful and welcoming. "Our family of 4 spent 6 nights at this lovely place and had a great time. Good location - we were able to explore the area (Balleek Forest, Westport, WAW coast) but you would need a car. The house way wonderful - lots of space and super comfy beds. My kids didn’t want to leave - swing sets, hot tub, beach, and donkeys - what more could they ask for."

"Our stay was excellent. Beautiful cottage in an excellent location, close to Castlebar with good road connections for touring the beautiful county of Mayo. The hosts Declan and Laura are very welcoming and very accommodating. Absolutely lovely people. A real genuine "Cead Mile Failte" is felt here. We will definately return to stay at Cherry Tree Cottage, that is for sure! Derek Hanley, and family Dublin."
