“We had a fantastic time here. Our host greeted us upon arrival and asked if we would like to participate in an authentic tea ceremony. “We found Villent to be a cosy and well-appointed, authentic home. We appreciated very much the differences that made it a truly unique Japanese home from what we are used to, yet it had all we needed also. The location was also ideal for us. I wanted my kids to see the true heart of suburban Japan. “We loved our stay at Gion Ryokan! The staff were so lovely, the bed pads were comfortable, and we enjoyed having access to a full kitchen. The location is amazing- right in the beautiful old district and just down the street from multiple temples and shrines! Short walk to amazing food options too!”
