The holiday home is located in a holiday home park in the North Hessian Highlands on the lake side. From here it is only about 500 metres to the beach. The very well-kept and tastefully furnished holiday home with 3 bedrooms offers enough sleeping accommodation for families. An air conditioning unit heats the house in winter and can cool it in summer.
Furthermore, the house is equipped with various accessories that convey a stylish cosiness, so that you immediately feel at home as soon as you enter the house.

The entrance with vestibule and cloakroom as well as the spacious living room with fireplace are located on the ground floor. From there you can access a beautiful gallery with a kitchen, bathroom, guest WC and a bedroom with a double bed.

There are 2 further bedrooms on the upper floor, one with a double bed and the other with 2 separate beds. There is also a large balcony for relaxing on the upper floor and a lovely terrace below on the ground floor. Both bedrooms on the ground floor each have their own balcony access (south). From here you can let your gaze wander over the entire holiday park.
The shower room is timelessly bright.

In 2024, the Schmetterling holiday home underwent many positive changes. The main ones are - a balcony renovation, the installation of a new kitchen and the purchase of a smart TV.


The Seepark Kirchheim leisure centre offers exciting water skiing at the existing facility. The water ski facility comprises a 700 metre circuit. Up to 16 skiers can be pulled across the water at the same time. The speed is infinitely variable from 20 - 64 km/h and can therefore be adjusted to suit beginners or experts. The "pros" can try their hand at slalom skiing or on the ski jump. The lake has good water quality, so swimmers will also get their money's worth.

Anglers (with a fishing licence) can also indulge in their hobby in the lake after obtaining a permit. Enjoy the lake while swimming and sunbathing, fishing or taking a leisurely stroll!
Numerous hiking trails start directly at the resort. A hiking car park has been newly designated as a starting point for interesting hiking tours.

A golf course is approx. 4 km away.

In Kirchheim, approx. 5 km away, you will find everything you need for everyday life: various supermarkets, bakeries and butchers, as well as various restaurants. Bargain hunters will also find the outlets of Puma Lloyd and Trigema in Kirchheim.

In summer, the nearby outdoor pool in Kirchheim offers a refreshing dip, where both swimming enthusiasts and children will get their money's worth. In winter, the Bad Hersfeld adventure pool (approx. 18 km away) with slide, saltwater pool, sauna world and children's pool is at your disposal.

Ski holidaymakers will find two alpine runs with lifts 15 km away on the Eisenberg (636 m.), the highest mountain in the Knüllgebirge. The Eisenberg offers marvellous winter fun with cross-country skiing trails and a toboggan run. The Eisenberg is an ideal hiking area all round.
