"The breakfast buffet was very good, pancakes for the kids, fresh bread with an excellent variety of toppings including smoked and cured salmon. The sauna was very nice (note that it is a co-ed shared sauna). But the indoor pool was not heated (at least not sufficiently for my taste). Much of the area around the hotel was under construction. The library room was closed due to remodel. The room was very nice with a bunk bed for the kids."

"A really great place to stay. This is a tiny house that is equipped with the most important things in a beautifully minimalistic manner without a lot of frills. The washrooms are in the main building, about 15 meters away, which is the only negative point. But if you can overlook it, you shouldn't miss it. It is located on the outskirts of Kiruna, which is why it is very quiet, especially at night. I haven't slept so well in a long time."

"We had the most amazing stay at the Arctic Gourmet Cabin. The cabins are cozy, comfy bed, beautiful views. We enjoyed relaxing with a sauna and hot top. The 4 course meal with wine pairing was one of the most outstanding meals I've ever had. I highly recommend treating yourself to this experience! also a fabulous spot to see the northern lights!"

"City Rooms is a really odd place to review in that if you arrived expecting a hotel, or traditional bed & breakfast as Google lists it, you'd be in for a real shock. Aesthetically, it feels more like the living space built for construction workers on long-term projects. That's not to say it's bad, but it's very very basic. "Incredibly unique experience and exactly as expected! Facilities are warm and well cleaned and maintained. Because Kiruna was too warm, the hotel was actually melting when we arrived and so we got a free upgrade to Ice Hotel 365 which was very nice of them. Unfortunately in the private connected bathroom, the under sink pipe was leaking. Everything else went smoothly. They have 24/7 lobby staff so if you’re having trouble sleeping in the cold, you can sit, relax, and drink free hot lingonberry juice. Highly recommend booking activities eg Sauna Ritual or Ice Carving. It’s nicely centrally located so we walked to the Sámi Museum as well. "
