Awesome beach vacation

House was exactly as described and we had a great stay! Super close and easy walk to the beach, maybe 5 minutes which is what we were looking for. Pool and hot tub were really nice as well. Would definitely recommend and we would stay again for sure

Great family rental

It was the perfect size for 4 adults, 4 kids (10-5yo) and a baby! The office off the kitchen was a great playroom, and the kids loved being able to scooter and play basketball on the driveway. Easy walk to the beach, low traffic and the beach was never remotely crowded. We did not like the Hospitality app - kept crashing constantly.

Family holiday

Property location was great to access the beach and the main drive to get places. The space was large enough for our group of six to be together or have our own space. We had a door issue and maintenance came out two days later, and did an excellent job fixing it. Cleanliness was an issue for our stay; bathmats clearly not washed between rentals, doors/handles on refrigerator and pantry were dirty, outdoor shower was littered with shampoo bottles and dryer lint. The management company said they would send someone out to clean the outdoor shower and never did. We were frustrated with the housekeeping issues as the rest of the property seemed great.

Amazing beach

It was an amazing time staying at OBX. We came from CT and had a long drive, luckily house was ready early and they texted us. The 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths were perfect for the two families we went with. The wrap around decks were amazing. There were two ways to go to the beach and we tried them both. The beach itself was one of the nicest beaches I’ve ever seen. The only thing I didn’t love was the kitchen was on 3rd floor and we wanted to be outside by the pool and bringing up and down food was a pain, but that’s such a 1st world problem lol! The hot tub and pool was the best part! Our kids had hours and hours of fun and slept like babies every night. Adults too! I enjoyed having a dip in the hot tub every night after a day at the beach. We would definitely go back! Just need to recover from the drive haha! Was it worth 14 hours in the car with our kids? I think so it was amazing thank you for having us!

Family vacation 2022

We had a wonderful time at Key to Paradise! We had 8 adults and one teenager. We were able to see so many amazing attractions. We saw Currituck,Bodie and Hatteras lighthouses, sunset at Jockeys Ridge,The Elizabethian Gardens, The Lost Colony and Manteo waterfront. We were thankful to have a pool and hot tub to soak my aching feet! The walk to the beach was not far but with the heat and steep dunes we only made it a few times! It was worth it to see the ghost crabs at night! The stairs and the walk to the beach were a little difficult for my elderly parents and a workout for me as well.

The pool is an extra bonus to have when the weather isn't the best for a beach day and it is a good size with plenty of sitting.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property was not in expected condition upon arrival. Carpeting was not vacuumed, counter tops were not wiped down, stove top had spilled and burned on food, dishes contained remains of food,carpet in front of kitchen sink very dirty really needed to be replaced, bathroom floors contained dirt and hair, had to wonder if they were actually cleaned. My wife spent the first two hours of her vacation washing dishes, utensils, pots and pans. Unit definitely needs some attention and general maintenance performed. Had to call for maintenance to have all 3 bath drains cleaned, they all were very slow draining, backing up. A/C system needs to have filters replaced. They were all clogged so badly that the units ran continually, and in one bath the air flow was placing dust and grime upon the wall from the plugged filters. Carpets should be cleaned, floors have a lot of marks that need to be cleaned, a coat of paint to freshen up the unit would not hurt, most of the lounge chairs in the pool area were cracked in the center of the seat.Location of the unit to the beach was great, pool was good, hot tub as well. Unit has a nice exterior appearance, inside needs attention to match. I would not rent this unit again, or recommend it to anyone.
