We had a great vacation and loved staying at Donny and Marlena’s house. The fenced in backyard was perfect for our dogs and they loved being outside with us. The pool was a great size and we spent most of our time in it. The hot tub was also an added bonus and was great to be in at night time. You could hear the waves crashing from the front porch while sipping coffee. The walk to the beach was effortless and a simple walk up the street. Would definitely stay here again, great location to restaurants as well.

We absolutely loved our stay! The house exceeded our expectations especially with a little one. The location was amazing and being able to come home from the beach and go straight to the pool or hot tub was a huge plus. We loved the two living spaces, and the fenced in yard for our doggies. Loved seeing and hearing the ocean as well. The hot tub was a hit and the jets were great after long walks on the beach. Great beach house especially if your traveling with children, pets, or multiple families! Communication was great as well

Second time at Summer Breeze!

This property was perfect for us and our dogs. The fenced in backyard is a huge plus for us, and we were able to spend a lot of time in the backyard at the pool while the dogs could play outside! The beach is a very short walk from the house! We would love to stay at Summer Breeze again next summer.....if any openings show up! They're booked almost every week with good reason!

Best time and great place!!

Your house was so nice and we enjoyed our stay very much. There was a lot of room for us, and it was laid out very nice !! I love the two different floors and two different kitchen areas! Great location close to beach

This property is spacious and would be great for a multi-generational family. if you're traveling with parents / grandparents, this rental is perfect! We stayed in November, so we didn't get a change to swim but enjoyed the lovely hot tub. The board game collection is awesome and having two kitchens is so nice to keep snacks / dinners separate. The host was very helpful and responded promptly when we had a few questions. The wrap-around deck is fantastic for catching the sunshine and seeing the ocean! The waves can be heard from the deck and property... awesome rental to see the sunrise just a few minute walk to the bea

Unanimous - “Best family vacation ever”

Property was all as promised plus more. Two minute walk to the beach, great fenced in yard for children and pets with sand filled volleyball court which got a lot of use for sand toys. Lots of extras such as quality night lights in all bathrooms, plastic dishware for outside use, great hot tub, sparkling pool, and a kitchen equipped with everything we needed. Washer and dryer on both levels were wonderful. Beautiful spacious accommodations We would love to come back some year

Great loacation, pool was wonderful. Was great to have sperate areas, for we had an infant with us. Would have been nice to have starter TP. Next time I will look for something that supplies towels and sheets. Hard to come home to wash bedding. Other was a great clean home.

August Vacation

This property is in a great location with easy access to the beach. I liked the layout and it was possible to have 2 families stay with multiple kitchens and the 2 floors being self sufficient. The pool and hot tub were great too for days when the beach is too hot. It would be nice to have direct access to the yard from the house to let the dog out without having to go through a gate. Driveway was difficult with multiple cars.

Puppy Paradise on Earth

Donny and Marlena are the most amazing VRBO host. Every question I asked was answered so quickly. This house is a pet friendly house but you can’t tell. When you walk in it smells like a pet has never been inside. It is extremely clean and extremely convenient in every way. This house is also handicap friendly. I had gotten plantar fasciitis right before our trip and was able to walk without going on any steps right into the first floor, which had a beautiful master bedroom and walk-in shower. If you’re traveling with older parents, it’s perfect because they have their own kitchen and own living space down there. The yard is perfect for dogs. It is so spacious. I’ve never seen such a spacious backyard in the Outer Banks before that’s fenced in. You won’t regret booking this house. It is so convenient to everything and just steps away from the beach. We will definitely be back next year. Donny and Marlena Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with the world. We’re back home and missing it already. Happy new year!

Stay at Summer Breeze! You won’t regret it. A much needed vacation at a wonderful location!

First I want to say that Summer Breeze was so wonderful and so much better than expected! Our expectations were kept low, and that wasn’t necessary at all! The home is clean, spacious, and in good condition. We played a few of the board games and loved the pool, deck, and dining room table. We can’t wait to come back!! Loves: location, condition, ac, pool, spacious, wonderful outdoor spaces, communication with host - so fast!! Suggestions: A few minor suggestions would be that the mattresses are a bit uncomfortable. With so many different people staying here that’s understandable, but would highly recommend mattress toppers to help. Another suggestion would be the channel list. Currently all the channels are listed on the provided channel guide but having just the channels available would be much better. Another option might be to get a roku stick. It’s inexpensive and would turn your tv into a smart tv so people can log into their apps (Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, etc) to watch whatever and could save you money on cable. Just a thought, but TV was really the least of our worries! Mentionables - Doors were unlocked when we arrived and that felt uncomfy as 4 women. It seems that the en suite sliding door is broken/doesn’t lock. There is the door stopper but that was laying on the carpet and the actual door lock is broken. When we arrived that and the lower level door were unlocked and accessible. Having the sliding door stoppers were great added security when in use though!

This is our second time staying here and we love this house so much. Our pups had so much fun in the backyard. This house has everything that you need. And if it’s multi families, some can stay on the first floor and you have a kitchenette and some can stay upstairs - You’ve got a full kitchen. Super easy to communicate - any questions we had were answered quickly.

Summer Family Vacay

Check in was very smooth, Donny even messaged us and said our rental was ready 2 hours before checkin time, which was awesome! The house was great! We made so many memories by the pool & hottub, on the porch, playing volleyball in the backyard. We could even see the ocean from the front porch! Everyone enjoyed themselves. We will definitely stay here again!
