  • Welcome to Mandrake Lodge, a magical vacation getaway located at the foothill of the beautiful Smoky Mountains, just 5 minutes from Douglas Lake and a short drive from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge Tennessee. Our cozy private home is nestled in the Forgotten Forest and offers the perfect balance of comfort and luxury, providing the ultimate escape.

What a great place this is! Very comfortable and well set up for a family with young kids. Quiet neighborhood that makes for a nice walk (despite the hill). Feels very private even with neighbors. The home itself is cozy and very comfortable. No complaints!

We were just looking to get away for the weekend to celebrate an anniversary and a birthday. This place was perfect. Very clean, hot tub that was so relaxing. Everything you need and close to all things fun!!

We’re a family from Texas headed to Virginia. Traveling with 2 teenagers, we wanted to shorten the 20 hours drive up, and booked a few VRBO’s along the way. This one was our favorite! Of course we love Harry Potter. Being able to relax in the hot tub was great. Clean, comfy and cozy.

We of course loved the Harry Potter theme throughout the cabin, as it definitely added to the ambiance while watching the movies. We also appreciated the full kitchen and grill that allowed us to cook meals and enjoy time just hanging out and playing games. The hot tub was a wonderful addition to the back deck area along with the outdoor dining table and hanging lights. Our kids also enjoyed the wii and collection of games located in the third floor bunk room. Our host was very quick in responding to questions and the property was very clean upon our arrival. We enjoyed walking around the other themed properties and trails. One of our favorites was finding the broom that our kids loved "taking a ride" on. Only 30 minutes to Knoxville or Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. Overall a wonderful time spent in a great location.

Cute cabin!

No complaints except for the second floor bedroom. The door didn’t have a way to latch shut nor did it cover the whole door opening. And the bed was not comfortable at all. Other than that, it was great!
