"A great affordable hotel that has Japanese style room setup and communal baths. Really close to train station and convenient to restaurants and shopping malls. Great experience to stay in the hotel. "
" Wonderful onsen experience!
This place is exceptionally clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. They offer complimentary refreshments, including sodas, teas, ice cream, and mixed nuts—a thoughtful touch that adds to the relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a top-notch onsen experience."
"Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel and it's amenities are incredible, they thought of everything.
At the lobby, you can enjoy free coffee capsules and it is a rather pleasing lobby."
"Great property. Everything felt new and looked great and clean. Wonderful bakery in the lobby for quick breakfast and coffee. There was also a restaurant on property but we didn’t try it. Rooftop bar was nice. Our room was great with plenty of room. The sink & vanity was out in the room which was nice because there was plenty of room to get ready and someone else could use the bathroom/shower area. We were in a superior King room and the bed was comfortable with a small couch area. While the hotel isn't right in the middle of things it is very central with easy access to all the right areas. Short 6 minute walk to subway/train. 12 minute taxi to Kyoto main station. Would definitely stay here again. Staff was great."
"Second time visiting Kyoto and stayed at this Sotetsu inn in the Gojo area. Got upgraded to a more spacious room, which is quiet and comfortable. You can take buses directly to many sights in Kyoto near this hotel, and the Shijo shopping street is only a short walk from this hotel. "
