The ski-in/ski-out chalet is located in the small village of Kötschach-Mauthen, at the tip of Carinthia's Gailtal valley, nestled between breathtaking mountain formations in the tri-border point Austria - Italy - Slovenia and blessed with above-average sunshine hours. In the middle of one of the most beautiful corners of Carinthia and less than 9 kilometres as the crow flies from the Italian border, sports and pleasure lovers will find exactly what they are looking for here!

Just a few metres from the chalet are the slopes of the Kötschach - Mauthen - Vorhegg ski area, a small ski area with 6 km of ski runs and 37 km of perfectly prepared cross-country trails. Other ski areas in the region include the Nassfeld ski area with 110 km ski slopes, the Zettersfeld ski area at the foot of the Schleinitz in the Lienzer Dolomites in East Tyrol with 21 km ski slopes and the Golzentipp family ski area in Obertilliach in East Tyrol with 12 km ski slopes. You can easily reach these ski resorts in 25-45 minutes by car.

Kötschach-Mauthen is part of the tourist region Nassfeld - Pressegger See and offers various hiking and cycling tours, the 'Hike World' hiking world with 25 themed trails, the water and wellness oasis Aquarena and the small idyllic natural swimming pool Waldbad Mauthen. The well-known Carinthian lakes Pressegger See and Weissensee can be reached by car in 30-45 minutes. Also visit Wolayersee and Frischenkofel to experience an impressive combination of mountains and lakes!
