Great clean room, comfy bed, superb shower, quiet room too, double glazing and 2 doors back to back make it real quiet. Decent working aircon. I had the standard double. Had a fridge, hair dryer, kettle, couples of plates, bowels, cups, glasses and shot glasses! So you could do your own cooking like an apartment but they clean it daily like a hotel. So yes, a very well equipped room. Hotel itself is dated and bland but very clean, functional and worth the money. You have to pay separately for the Sauna. I didn't try the food. The surrounding area is brilliant for partying and places to eat and within walking distance of a lot of sites, monuments and the pick up for a Chernobyl tour. I certainly would recommend this place to friends or solo travellers. If you are after somewhere 'romantic' i would not.

Try to avoid this place

There is no difference between a standard room or a suite. Maybe only the price. Not 30 sqm the room surface. The heat in the room it is provided by the AC unit, wich make more wind than to heat the room. It doesnt worth the money. In the firat evening i saw rats in the interior court. It was good that i stay at the first level.

Un très bon ensemble

Idéalement situé dans le quartier des embrassades et tout près d’un supermarché Billa, l’hôtel Golden Gate Inn ne se trouve pas sur la grande rue Yaroslaviv elle même mais dans une cour intérieure. Un petit panneau doré l’indique. C’est vieillot, certes, le lit n’est pas hyper confortable, certes, mais c’est très propre, climatisé et la présence d’un réfrigérateur, d’une bouilloire et d’une plaque de cuisson est très appréciable. Personnel adorable. Bon wifi.

Good, especially on budget

Hotel is perfectly adequate for a short or long stay and the room itself was clean and well equipped. Bathroom quite tired but again was cleaned and well provided. Lots of space and furniture, WiFi good and aircon functional. Lively bar near the street and just 10 minute walk to Golden Gate, 20-30 mins to independence square. Both have restaurants and bars for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Would recommend but do note it’s not on the street, but down a wide alley accessed through a gate (unlocked). Whilst the courtyards means it’s quite, it might worry you to walk down the dark alley (40m) to get to the front door.

Bra läge och skön säng

Hotellet ligger bra och det finns restauranger, café och Metro inom promenadavstånd. Hotellet ligger inne på en bakgård och det ser lite skruttigt ut på gården men hotellet är välskött. Personalen är trevlig och pratar bra engelska. Sängen var mjuk och skön. Rummet var rymligt och rent, särskilt badrummet som hade en bra och varm dusch. Vi fick inte TVn att funka. Notera att det saknas hiss och det kan vara tungt att bära väskan till fjärde våningen. Vi beställde hämtning på flygplatsen av hotellet och det fungerade utmärkt och kostade ca 100 kr. Det är inget tjusigt hotell men jag sov väldigt gott och skulle gärna bo där igen.

First the good: the hotel is centrally located and cheap; staff are friendly and helpful; it is clean negative: the flat smelled of cigarettes terribly: both the bathroom and the bedroom; the bed itself. It was not very warm, heating was weak, no additional blankets were available. I did not ask staff for more blankets, to be fair. I would stay there again probably

Nice staff, pleasing to look at for cheap price

The title is the only good thing about this hotel , yes i said hotel you cannot call it an apartment because the stove dosnt have a ventilation system which means when you cook food the whole room will smell of what you just cooked , anyways i booked 3 nights with this hotel and left after 2 nights and let me tell you why the heating in the room is very poor , it gets very cold well atleast in the winter , my girlfriends parents house was warmer she lives in kiev , i only had one successfull warm shower yes i said warm it wasn’t hot , only one shower out of two days due to no hot water i called reception and the lady said wait 20 minutes so i did , an hr went by no hot water 2,3 hours went buy still nothing , the facility has a hot water system where it needs to heat itself and being in kiev in the winter this system fails so hot water is limited , but this isnt the worst thing the worst thing was paper thin walls you can literally hear everything the other people are doing in there rooms yes people , to the left , to the right of you , underneath you and above you , theres a pub somewhere i heard music somewhere but anyways normally a bad hotel has one out of three things #1 no hot water , #2 very cold room #3 paper thin walls (quite loud) , but in this case this hotel had all 3 , remember what i said i actually left after two nights and i booked 3 nights i lost money on one night there was good reviews which is why i stayed here anyways hope this review helps you

В целом всё хорошо. Однако, есть одно но). Представьте себе самую скрипучую кровать, которая только может существовать на этом свете... Именно эта кровать находилась в моем номере. О том, что кровать скрипит, стало известно уже тогда, когда было поздно просить замену номера или вообще что-либо предпринимать по этому поводу... Если в соседних номерах были соседи (а они были - я их, кстати, иногда слышал), то они несомненно были рады этой прекрасной музыке...)) Да, и предложенный номер не соответствовал тому фото, которое было показано при бронировании. Картинка была немного симпатичнее.

The cozy hotel with a great staff

First of all, I'm really grateful for the staff named Anna. Thanks to her, I'm quite sure I could enjoy my stays in Kiev. She helped me to find the nearest currency exchange office, which was really needed for me and showed me around the facility with a big smile. I felt so welcomed from her. The location is excellent as well. It is situated nearby the golden gate & metro station(Zoloti Borota st). It just takes 5-8 mins to get to the hotel from there. There is a large supermarket within walking distance, which helped me to arrange my daily trip. Many restaurants and shops were adjacent to the hotel as well. The room was quite nice for me. It was cozy and had a small kitchen equipped with kitchen utensils and stove. Bathroom was also fine. Water pressure was good. Hot water was available all the time. Although it was not perfectly sound proof, It was totally understandable. If I had a chance to visit Kiev again, I would definitely choose this accommodation again.

Vorsicht beim Buchen über Expedia geboten!

Der günstigste Preis für das Apartment, wird ignoriert und dem Gast ein normales Zimmer zugewiesen. Friss oder stirb wurde mir deutlich gemacht. Kein Spülbecken in der Pantry Küche, Geschirr wird im Bad gewaschen und auf der Toilette abgelegt. Spulmittel kennt man hier auch nicht. Geht gar nicht!

prima hotel. kamers in jaren 70-80 stijl maar groot, schoon, heerlijke douche en prima bed. Goede keus. Niet zo geschikt om zakenrelaties te ontvangen maar in de buurt prima koffietentjes om af te spreken. Kleinschalig, persoonlijk en veilig.Ontbijt te bestellen op de kamer mogelijk. Mijn kamer had kitchenette Sauna kan individueel gereserveerd.

Sehr empfehlenswert

Insgesamt macht das Hotel einen sehr guten Eindruck. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und zuverlässig. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist die Hellhörigkeit und dass kein Fahrstuhl (Zimmer mit Kleinkind im 4. Stock) vorhanden ist. Ansonsten entspricht es einem soliden 3-Sterne-Hotel.
