Ocean views abound from this well appointed yet casual beach house property, just steps from the sand.

A perfect place to relax and enjoy family and friends (and occasionally dolphins).

Step out the door, cross the only street between you and the Pacific, and your toes will be delivered to the sand.

Relax in this single story home that’s perfect for 2 or 3 families. The home features dual master bedrooms. One master has ocean views, the other has a tranquil view of the spa and garden. Each master has a King sized bed. One master has rain-head shower + separate tub. Other master has shower.

A kids room with bunked beds (one twin over one full) and en-suite tub/shower bathroom are on the opposite side of the main house from the masters.

The third King bed is in a detached ocean view “cottage” which has a bathroom with a shower.

Also detached is a large fifth bedroom. This room contains a king bed, it's own tv, and couch. The space is ample enough to open up the queen floor matrress for an additional sleeping accommodations.

The floor plan is open with vaulted ceilings and tiled floors for easy beach living.

The kitchen was remodeled in 2012 with a granite countertop space to seat 7. The 8 foot dining table seats another 8-10. Place settings for 16 are provided. It’s a perfect home to gather friends or family for summer, holidays, vacations, or days ending in 'y'.

The large spa can be used cool, to refresh, or you can heat it and use the jets to warm up and relax after a day at the beach.

All bedding is all 100% cotton. Many 500 thread count or Ralph Lauren sheets and covers. Down comforters & pillows for all King beds (down alternative available upon request).

The living area is a great space to get cozy and catch up with family or friends while playing games, or watching a movie.

The garage has a washer/drier and space for 1 car.

Wonderful home and location for extended family

Spacious, well-kept home with wonderful, large hot tub and incredibly close beach access. Exceptionally well-equipped kitchen. Bedroom set up with 4 king beds was perfect for 4 couples kids' room and extra mattresses worked well for our 6 grandkids. We also appreciated the quality and quantity of beach equipment--boogie boards, surf boards, sand toys, beach towels, and chairs etc. Short walking distance to Avenida de Playa with the large variety of eateries was especially enjoyable.

Our family met in La Jolla for a mini-reunion. The location was perfect. We were thankful for the enclosed front yard and the back patio as we had a 22 month old and 7 month old with us. A high chair and pack and play were provided. The fenced off spa was also helpful. Ian, the property manager, was a clear communicator and the property was well-supplied with beach towels and needed items. We all loved being within walking distance of so many shops and restaurants. Also, the walk across the park to the beach was easy, and we used the wagon in the garage a few times too. The beach was quite crowded on the weekends, but during the week it wasn't too bad. La Jolla is so beautiful... the sand is soft, the water is lovely, and it's not windy like some other So Cal beaches. We had a nice family dinner on the patio of The Shores restaurant one evening and had a great view of the sunset. The house is right on a busy corner, but we would stay there again. Great location!

Great time in La Jolla Shores

So convenient! Lots of space! Very comfortable. Bonus that it has a beer fridge for extra beverages and an ice machine. Well stocked kitchen. Nice clean grill. Shops and restaurants nearby that are walkable.The only drawback was a that one of the casitas didn't have a bathroom. But those people used the hall bathroom.Twelve us stayed (8 adults and 4 kids ages 8-14)At first I was nervous because it is literally on the corner of two busy streets, but it is great to sit back and people watch.

Awesome House in Awesome Location

Place was exactly as advertised and perfect for our stay. The location right across from beach and park cannot be beat. House has all the amenities you could want for enjoying the sand and surf. And the layout is great for providing both areas to gather as a group and many places for folks to have privacy.

Fantastic Location in La Jolla Shores across from Kellogg Park

An older home nicely remodeled with 2 casitas provides max flexibility for larger groups. A few minor issues with appliances were far outweighed by the location, a 90-sec walk to one of the best surfing beaches in SOCAL. Property mgmt is very responsive, cleaning crew does a great job, & the pool tech comes twice a week so the large spa is always pristine. Large selection of beach toys for kids and boogie boards. Thank you!

5 Stars! Absolutely Perfect

This home is exactly as it is described in the listing. The property manager was VERY communicative and provided detailed check in/check out instructions. We found the home in perfect condition... very clean, fully equipped (lots of beach chairs/toys/towels) and the location could not be beat! It is literally right across the street from La Jolla Shores park and beach. We stayed for the weekend for our daughter's wedding and it could not have been more comfortable for our extended family. It had everything we needed and two wonderful outside patios to take in the fresh air. The property manager, Ian, was beyond friendly and helpful! We cannot recommend this home high enough.

Welcome home sailor

Our family (10 adults) welcomed home from deployment our grandson. The house was fab! We rented a golf cart from LaJolla golf carts. It was street legal and gave us many opportunities to look around the neighborhood visit the shops eat lunch etc. The house however, had the greatest kitchen. Our family loves to cook and did we ever. The grill and hot tub were family favs. The host was great to us, made it very easy to access we had two older guests that used scooters. The neighborhood is the best. Park across the street was busy on weekends with people enjoying themselves. Lots to see. The ocean was up so the surfers were out. One of our older guests got ill and had to go to the Scripps hospital but was professionally treated and sent on their way quickly. We had the best time. While the room layout was not typical, it didn't intefere with us. There is so much to this house that was great. The washers and dryer,the toys in the garage, the icemaker, the parking off street. I can't say enough. Thanks Ian, we'd do it again.

Perfect Beach Home for Group

Wonderful location across the street from beautiful LaJolla Beach. The family enjoyed coming back from the beach to a large in-ground private hot tub. Five comfortable bedrooms and four bathrooms made the space perfect for our large family. We loved our time here.

Amazing location and house !

This house was in immaculate condition and the perfect layout for our combined family reunion to have time together but also our own spaces. Excellent Location

The house easily accommodated our family of four adults and one newborn. The location is perfect for access to the beach across the street and short walks to coffee shops and restaurants. Downtown La Jolla is a quick drive for more shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores. The owner/property manager is very responsive and helpful if you need him.

Christmas family vacation

What a great location. Slept 8 adults and 4 babies comfortably. Could watch the surf right from the living room. Two of the bedroom spaces are detached—make sure you see the layout to understand where people will sleep. Bathroom arrangements are tricky. But, for a family with 4 adult couples and four littles, the location and the size/layout was great. Communication with the host was excellent. Easy check-in and check-out. Well-equipped. Even provided high chairs and strollers and beach wagons, kayaks, laundry machines, beach toys and chairs. Great rental!

Family reunion in La Jolla - great times !

We stayed a week at the VRBO in La Jolla. We were there for our parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. There were 12 people of all ages staying at the house. The hot tub was our favorite. Especially after coming in from the beach which is right across the street!

A FANTASTIC BEACH HOUSE!!

The house was absolutely perfect for our family of our 3 kids and their spouses and 5 grandkids! Only a beautiful park was between the house and the spectacular beach. The house had beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels, shovels and pails for our two 4 year old twin granddaughters - everything we could imagine for the beach. Surfing lessons were available from the beach almost right in front of our house! Nothing was missing which gave all of us the most perfect vacation!!
