"Reserved a double queen room. Hotel confirmed reservation. They ended up giving us a king handicap accessible room for two adults and a teenager. Why would you offer me a double queen if it wasn’t available? Why would you accept my reservation if it wasn't available? Then just acted like it wasn’t a big deal and they had no rooms available so that is what we were stuck with. Very unhappy. "

"the bar was not open place was dark. waited 15 min for anybody to ck in. smoke detector in our room would beep even after they changed batteries. pool has been out of order for awhile"

"Peggy was very helpful and friendly. There was also one lady in the kitchen that served the breakfast two of our three days who was friendly and helpful. I felt the food was better on the days she cooked/served. Peggy was much more helpful and friendly than the daytime people. The room was clean and comfortable. "

"We received a very thorough and informative message from the host ahead of time so knew exactly what to look for upon arrival. The house was stocked well with towels, blankets, toiletries, etc. (including some kitchen essentials left by previous guests like maple syrup, tea, some coffee…), and it was perfectly cozy. As mentioned by host, the house water is a little hard but we didn’t mind (I grew up with worse). My partner and I came up to ice fish all weekend and the distance to the lake is a bit more than we gathered from photos so be aware of that. It was do-able but we were more than happy to collapse in bed at the end of the days hauling things up and down. Thankfully, we left our shanty up all weekend and it remained untouched. A short drive “to town” for groceries and bait found at the Shell was perfect. Overall, the experience was very nice, quiet, cozy, and exactly what we needed! Would love to experience it in the summer as well. "
