「The cabin is exactly as described. The grounds keeper went out of his way to grab trash we hadn’t taken over yet while we were out. A lot of reviews mentioned the road being bad, but it’s just a typical narrow dirt road. I can see it maybe being a little intimidating if you never drive on unpaved roads, but it is very well maintained, just go slow and be mindful while passing people and you won’t have an issue.」

「This stay was for our 10th anniversary. The cabin was fantastic. We loved the hot tub and the privacy. We had an issue where VRBO didn’t send us the the cabin number and correct code. We ended up arriving at 2am due an emergency delay in our trip. We contacted VRBO and they contacted our host. We felt bad for waking him at 2am, but he was able to give us the information we needed. 「Stout Grove is a modern cabin with all the conveniences and amenities. Jessica and Andrew thought of everything when building this. The decor was adorable with beautiful colors and pieces of artwork that highlight our newest national park,New River Gorge. After a long day out in the park, it was so relaxing to sit on the porch, grill, and get a fire going. The cabin was just perfect! 」

「Property is located on a hill in the woods so very quiet. Parking was limited but close to cabin. Cabin is functional but a bit dated. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The location is outstanding if you are traveling for New River Gorge activities. While pet friendly, you are asked to crate them If you leave them alone in the residence so plan ahead. Check in was easy and owners were very nice. If you are going as a group for park activities, this place is great.」
