Comfortable House Overlooking the Marsh

Beautiful house on tidal inlet off Corte Madera Creek. Lots of geese, ducks and egrets in the salt-water marsh along the boardwalk. Host was enormously welcoming and helpful, and answered questions promptly. House was amply furnished. Modern bathroom. The kitchen had every utensil and equipment we needed. There were even toys available for visiting grandchildren. We thoroughly enjoyed our five-month stay.

A beautiful place to relax

Beautiful wood structure with a fabulous well tooled kitchen. Comfy bed and couches to curl up and read or nap. Short walk to restaurants, shops, movie theater or shops. Close to Muir Woods and Mt. Tam for hiking. It is the ultimate home stay!

Unique property

We had a lovely stay at this very unique and beautiful property. It was very serene and fun to be on the waterway with the tides rising and falling. The pathway to the house is about 5-6 minutes to walk and was easier than I thought. Very modern kitchen with everything you need for cooking. Great bathroom. And there’s a wagon to load your luggage and roll it with you to the house. Be advised that there are only light window coverings in the bedroom one side so if you like to wake up with the sun you’ll be happy.

Warm & Cozy

We really enjoyed our 8 nights at Mary and Maria's place. Maria was a very helpful hostess if needed but kept to herself in the attached apartment. The one-bedroom, one-bath home was perfect for my wife and me. Our daughter visited for a night and slept on the couch, although an inflatable mattress was available. The redwood interior, new kitchen and bathroom are very inviting, We happened to visit during the "atmospheric river" rainstorms in January. While the home is built on a marsh alongside a tidal creek and inlet (with 34 other houses), we stayed warm, dry and cozy. The gas fireplace was put to good use. The house is reached via a short walk over a boardwalk. A large wagon is available to move luggage and groceries. It's not a problem. We are very much looking forward to returning.

Lovely Stay!

Charming, quiet, cozy, relaxing… we thoroughly enjoyed our time here! The fireplace added such a cozy feel during the rainy days and this location is so unique. Close to town, yet secluded and quiet. Maria was a great communicator and such a wonderful host. Thank you!

The owner made sure our stay was just like our home. Her home was comfortable and welcoming.

We stayed at her property because her home was close to my daughters home. We wanted to spend Thanksgiving with them. Maria is an excellent host and we would stay with her again.

Beautiful Home & Great Location!

We had a wonderful 9-day stay at Boardwalk One. Everything we needed was provided. Well equipped home. Gorgeous architecture. It is a quiet and very private location. Bird watching was enjoyable. The host was always available, helpful, and friendly. We hope to stay there again during our next visit to Larkspur.

Great Location!!

A Rich & Restorative Experience

This property is what drew me and my husband to Larkspur, and we weren’t disappointed. After settling into this jewel of a home, my husband and I decided to stay in, recharge and enjoy this well-appointed property instead of going on some of the adventures we’d planned. We enjoyed watching bird activity on the tidal creek and took advantage of the many photo opportunities. The neighborhood was inviting and walkable. Because our hostess thoughtfully provided for our needs and wants, our stay turned into a retreat. We had a fantastic time.

A gorgeous retreat

I made a cross country trip to visit my elderly grandmother in April 2022, and my husband accompanied me. I treated us to this amazing home. It’s such a beautiful secluded location we felt we were on a proper vacation. The home itself is quite beautiful, and has everything you could need to feel right at home. We flew across the country and could not bring any of the kitchen things we normally would bring, but Mary had everything and more. We cooked most of our meals in, and enjoyed them outside on the deck. There was fresh butter and cream in the fridge when we arrived. Even the body wash was amazing. The location is very private, away from traffic, but close to everything we wanted to see. Thank you Mary, for sharing your lovely home. We would definitely love to come back.

A serene getaway

On the lagoon.

We just loved being at this property. The home is so lovely, tastefully furnished, tranquil, and totally equipped. After parking our car, we loaded our belongings into a wagon and accessed the house across the marsh grasses via the boardwalk.... We met Mary, our host. She is a warm and lovely person--not for any review -- but because she really is. We so enjoyed our stay.

Charming home and boardwalk in a great location!

The proximity to downtown Larkspur, the scenic boardwalk across the marsh to the house, the inviting, sun-splashed deck, the comfortable and lovely interior, the views in every direction (including Mt Tam), the welcoming spirit of host Mary ... all of this and more made it a wonderful five nights for my wife and me in a part of CA that we love to visit.

Beautiful zen property with fantastic comforts

We absolutely loved Marys home and she could not have been a more gracious host. Every couch and bed was comfortable. The kitchen is beautiful and every window frames a serene view of creeks and marshlands. Very quiet and private space yet walking distance to fantastic shops and restaurants.
