We booked kingfisher lodge at thirlstane lodges for our anniversary and we couldn’t have been happier. The lodges are furnished and equipped to a very high standard and includes everything you could possibly need for your stay. We stay in cabins 2-3 times a year and this is by far the best. The owners have thought of everything. Cooking items are all high quality, beds are comfortable and there’s plenty of seating for everyone. The small things that make the difference like dishwasher tablets, washing pods, extra bin bags and some small toiletries were all included along with some small packs of biscuits and a bottle of milk to get us started. Decor is modern but in keeping with what you’d expect from a Scottish break and the hot tub was great and even up to temperature by the first night. Location is great as we visited Edinburgh Christmas markets which is only a 45 min drive away! Highly recommended and we will definitely be back!
