“We booked this villa 5 months before staying. I asked him 5 months in advance if the pool was private and he confirmed it was. Fast forward, 5 mths, were are in Italy and 48hrs before our stay, we received a message from the owner, which I couldn’t believe and was shocked by, he told us there were “swimming pool rules” and he would “check about (our) sun creams” and they can’t contain “silicon oil..:::because they ruin the liner of my swimming pool”.
