"We stayed for a week and hired both gites for our family. It was utterly perfect in every way - we wanted for nothing. We most enjoyed the privacy of the main pool which overlooks luscious countryside bustling with life and the stunning western sunsets in the cool sky. Sonia and Mark are consumate well experienced hosts who always try to accommodate any requests where possible. "Beautiful traditional French townhouse perfectly located for the centre of the Monpazier. Facilities were excellent.Plenty of space to sit and relax including a nice outside courtyard area.Mattress to the rear bedroom was a little uncomfortable and could probably do with being replaced. This is intended as feedback for the owner and should not put people off as this is a superb property in a great location."

"Hotel is in an excellent location with paid parking directly outside. The rooms were clean, fairly well equipped, and looked to have been recently renovated. Bedding and pillows were comfortable, although not luxury. Everything is within easy walking distance. There is a very basic bar on site, although it was fairly quiet during our stay, possibly due to travelling in shoulder season. Staff were friendly and courteous, even advising us that the nearby public car park would be free overnight on Sunday rather than paying for hotel parking, which was appreciated. Overall, very good value for money and a pleasant stay."

"Séjour parfait dans ce gîte ! Très agréable et extrêmement fonctionnel, on s’y sent tout de suite à l’aise. L’endroit est d’un calme absolu, idéal pour se reposer. Le grand jardin est un vrai plus pour profiter pleinement de la nature. La région est magnifique, avec toujours quelque chose à faire et à découvrir. Nous recommandons sans hésiter !"

"Staff was very friendly and helpful. I inadvertently left a small item in the room upon departure. Housekeeping discovered it even before I knew of my mistake, the desk called me and kindly arranged to have it sent to me by post. (I paid for postage expenses, of course.) Very efficient and appreciated. "

"Beautiful pool and garden, beautiful quiet location - house was good but old fashioned and required more thorough cleaning and attention to detail on cleaning crockery, checking for bugs in house (cleaning again) and ensuring that all facilities were in good working order which they were not. Heating was broken, dishwasher did not clean properly, no hot water in evening, then internet went down in storm affecting TV, with little to no contact with owner. This house needs TLC as did we so we felt cold, neglected and disappointed with our holiday. Apart from one load of logs for the fire which cheered us up we were pretty much ignored by the owner except when he arrived to check the heating and the plumber tried to fix. But it came on once at 2am then that was it. So very sorry but it was all too frustrating. Better communication is required. "
