Thank you for the review. We were so sorry to hear about this problem as we exterminate regularly due to it being the Hill Country full of critters. We exterminated again upon your departure and believe the problem is under control. We take guest reviews and problem reports very seriously and were happy to refund the remainder of the one night stay. Thank you for the good review. We have already discussed the cause of the septic issues being feminine hygiene products flushed down the septic system by one of their younger female guests. Despite the mishap Jessey and his group were very kind and respectful. The House was kept in immaculate condition otherwise and we would host them again as they were very apologetic and concerned.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. We do offer sheets and towels at an additional fee. This winter we are planning on doing an extra shower and wash room. ;)

The house was built in the 1800's and therefore the bathrooms are small and the downstairs bathroom would not accommodate a shower comfortably. We chose to keep the clawfoot bathtub because of it's rustic appeal. The bathroom appliances are rustic in appearance, but are well cleaned between occupancies. Because of the age and construction of the home, it will not accommodate modern central air conditioning, however we are very thorough and check the filters and clean each window unit as needed between guests. Thank you for bringing the door issues and mildew to our attention we will make sure to address those. In regards to your plumbing concerns, most properties in this area do not have access to city sewer and have to maintain there own septic, which requires a little TLC. Regarding the Wifi & cell service, this is the Hill Country and we do not have city Wifi. However they are working on adding Fiber to this area and we will be upgrading our Wifi as soon as it is available. We are sorry it was not to your satisfaction, our guests typically enjoy the country charm and décor of our cabins. If you are desiring more modern accommodations there are a few in the area to choose from. We hope upon your next visit to our area you will find accommodations more to your liking. When my husband and I purchased these cabins a few years ago we wanted to provide a unique experience in this area with a rustic appeal, the house has it's own unique character since it was built in the 1800's. In regards to your plumbing concerns, most properties in this area do not have access to city sewer and have to maintain there own septic, which requires a little TLC. It is typical in the Hill Country area for most cabins to have the bare minimum. We are unique in the area in that we have fully stocked kitchens, which include coffee, sugar, filters, salt & pepper, paper towels, dish soap & kitchen towels. We also supply hand soap, a trash bag and a roll of toilet paper to make it as convenient for our guests as possible. When sending our guest their check in information we list all of these items and try to be as informative as we can. In regards to the cleanliness, thank you for bringing that to our attention, we will look into it and go over your concerns with our cleaners. The store stocks mostly essentials, since most of our guests are enjoying the river and other activities during the day we typically have someone available every morning until around 11am or noon daily and occasionally in the evenings from around 5pm to 6:30 or 7pm. It is typical in the Hill Country area for most cabins to have the bare minimum. When my husband and I purchased these cabins a couple of years ago we wanted to provide a unique experience in this area with a clean & rustic decorative interior and adequate supplies for our guest's Hill Country camping experience. We have very good cleaners & most of our reviews say we are very clean. We are unique in the area in that we have fully stocked kitchens, which include coffee, sugar, filters, salt & pepper, a paper towel roll, dish soap & kitchen towels. We also supply hand soap, a trash bag and a toilet roll to make it as convenient for our guests as possible. But I will look into the cooking pans and I will replace if we need to. We have a layout showing the 1st and 2nd Floor that shows the beds and bathrooms. We cannot change the layout, but can only provide all the information we can to help you make a decision that is best for your needs.
