The villa was spectacular. Even if we were not on the beach, we were so close by, that it wasn't a problem at all. From our pick up at the airport to the welcome by the concierge at the villa, everything was perfect. The daily service of Mona Lisa was also perfect.

Beautiful place with a lot of charm, the personnel Mona and Yves were perfect. Yves made us travel in every country without moving one foot. Everything was perfect. Next year we are planing to come back thank you you made my family and wife happy that was my only wish.

We've been visiting SXM for 35 years and have never enjoyed any place like La Pinta. We were a family of eight and used all four bedrooms -- all of which were absolutely beautiful and spacious with phenomenal baths. The furnishings and artwork in the entire complex are beyond words!!! The grounds were gorgeous as well as the pool and the view of the Caribbean! There is also a gym and tennis court (for those so inclined to exercise) however they were not completely repaired from Irma. There is a fabulous outdoor area (I called it the Pavilion) for outdoor eating, socializing and it's shaded. There is a guard house to enter the community as well as the gated property area -- no admittance without code. Already planning next year's trip. Mona, our daily housekeeper, was THE BEST!!! My thanks to the owner or decorator (whomever they may be) for doing such a fabulous job in decorating this property. It had everything and it definitely shows!!!" My thoughts on the island were -- some areas, particularly Orient, bring you back in time 30 years. The French side definitely had more devastation than the Dutch, however that didn't prevent us from dining in Grand Case or anywhere we wanted. Truthfully, I expected to see worse however they seem to be making great progress. The Dutch side seemed to be buzzing along with full restaurants. Mullet had as many people as ever. Smaller beaches like El Zafiro and Mary's Boon had smaller crowds but were equally as beautiful and had wonderful food. We especially liked the space between chairs. Pinel was great -- much better than previous years -- after, of course, you left the dock and seaweed behind.
