"We stayed for a ski break. We had a hire car, and used it for the various ski areas - which worked really well, but there was also ski bus stop150 metres down the road. The beds are really comfortable, the half board food excellent and we loved the friendly and helpful staff."

Buses into chamonix free but no late night buses run so only way to get back to chamonix after 8 pm is to walk the 5k or get a taxi. Taxis very rare and you need to phone, cost very expensive €30 for 5k trip back to hotel.
