Magnificent with attention to detail
This was a One of a kind property, very clean and comfortable. With exquisite decor and plenty of space for a family or group of friends. Both the hot tub and sauna were thoroughly enjoyed. Paul was pleasant and accommodating and you could not ask for a nicer host! The trumpet house is a must see cozy home away from home.

An AMAZING property and owners
The Trumpet House, by far, is the best place I have ever stayed while travelling. The house is amazing, with so much to offer. The personal touches of art and decor made this vacation even more delightful A person could literally spend an entire day at the house just looking and appreciating the nuances that make this house what it is. I highly recommend that anyone going to Belgium consider staying here. It is centrally located to most anywhere in Western Europe, which makes it easy to use as a base. Brugge in a little over an hour, Paris in three, Brussels in 30 minutes, just to mention a few. Oh, and the Stella on tap is nice bonus as well. Enjoy the hot tub, or a nice walk in sauna after a day of touring, they are both wonderful. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Enjoy your stay

A place to remember
The property was excellent. Definitely a place to be remembered. The owner has everything you need for a comfortable stay, beer on a tap, wine in the refrigerator, craft beer in the refrigerator, charcoal for the grill, and wood for the fireplace. The owner will inform you if the cost for each upon arrival. The owner was kind enough to allow for a slightly early check in, which considering the jet lag, was very much appreciated. The home is the perfect setting for Belgium. Kind of like you own mini castle. I would most definitely recommend this rental. Please note the owner did have a tendency to be in the garage unannounced. Gathering tools and remove some recycling. Overall wonderful experience.

Great private setting and lovely get away.
We truly loved staying in the Trumpet house. Paul does a lovely job of explaining what is around in the area. The house was great for our family to spread out after over a week of packing into smaller hotel rooms. I highly recommend this property for those looking to explore this part of Belgium. It is a short ride to Brussels and a few other places. Thank you Paul for your hospitality.

Beautiful gem in Leuven
Trumpet house is just far enough out of Leuven city center to give the illusion of being in the forest yet close enough to all you need. The house is beautifully restored and tranquil. It has everything you need to have a restful break or a big family dinner. Kitchen well equipped, beds comfortable, cozy fireplace, strong hot showers. Just perfect. Paul was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Will definitely book here again.

Trumpet House is a nice home with many unique architectural features
The Trumpet House is a castle-like house. We enjoyed exploring all the interesting features and unique decorations in the house. The forest setting of the house is quiet and beautiful, and the view from the house toward Leuven is very nice. We loved the hot tub on the cool evenings, as well as the sauna. Overall the house was very clean and well maintained with plenty of supplies; the only things that wasn't perfectly clean were the kitchen taps. We were very happy with our stay, and would return to the Trumpet House if we're ever in the area again.

Perfection!
Wow is the best description! An amazing property from the inside out with hillside views of Leuven. It is a great location to explore Belgium as a central hub. Every detail has been thought of with what you might need in mind. The property itself is quirky with ornate carvings and small details painstakingly incorporated. The space lets you feel old world charm in a lovingly restored space with modern amenities. Take advantage of the traditional breakfast as it will be enough to feed a small army. Our guests enjoyed the hot tub and sauna very much as well as the sweeping view of Leuven from the front porch. There is even a heat lamp to enjoy the outside in the crisp evenings. The caretaker was super responsive and met all of our needs and requests without issue. You will not be disappointed!

A lovely home in the countryside
My husband and I stayed here with our two children ages 9 and 12. We stayed here at the end of a vacation week. All of our other accommodations were in city centers, and all of us cherished the dark, peaceful, quiet nights to sleep in the woods at Trumpet House. We were visited by an adorable tiny deer on the lawn during our stay. We enjoyed all the amenities of the house, including the hot tub, a nice selection of music CDs, and a great spot upstairs for watching World Cup games on TV. Paul is a wonderful host. If you choose to add breakfast or other options, it's like having your very own bed and breakfast.

Super Gastvrij en fijne locatie nabij Leuven
Een huis waarin het ons aan niets ontbrak in combinatie met de gastvrijheid van de gastheer/eigenaar. Een absolute aanrader voor een groep vrienden, een groot gezin of 2 gezinnen (met ca 8 tot 9 slaapplekken).

Wat een prachtige locatie
Een prachtige woning waarin je je waant in een kasteel. Aan alle details is gedacht. Van de oude houten balken aan het plafond, de beelden in de tuin, tot de tegels op de vloer, alles doet vermoeden dat het huis er al honderden jaren staat. Ondanks de oude uitstaling is het huis van alle gemakken, die je in een modern huis verwacht voorzien. Er is een ruime keuken met inductie kookplaat, vaatwasser en bier tap. In de tuin staat een hottub waar je makkelijk met 4 personen in kan en de sauna op de eerste verdieping is lekker ruim. wel ruim van te voren aan zetten want het duurt wel even voor die warm is. Het ontvangst was vriendelijk en we kregen een uitgebreide rondleiding met uitleg over alle faciliteiten. Enige minpuntje voor ons was dat het tijdens ons weekend buiten erg koud was en door alle stenen vloeren en dikke muren het best wel even duurde voor de woonkamer warm was. voordeel daarvan was wel dat we de prachtige openhaard in de woonkamer en de hout kachel in de keuken goed hebben benut.

Prachtig huis
Dit huis is zo enorm mooi en sfeervol, het lijkt wel een kasteel van binnen. We bleven ons verbazen over de details. Perfecte voorzieningen, zalig koud biertje van de tap, heerlijke prive jacuzzi, mooie bosrijke ligging, vlakbij de leuke stad Leuven en een zeer vriendelijke goed bereikbare eigenaar. Ik kan geen kritisch puntje vinden. Wij hebben meteen een vervolgweekend geboekt.

Mieux que sur les photos.
Une semaine dans un havre de silence et dépaysement assuré dans cette maison atypique. Maison hyper propre, équipements haut de gamme, literie extra. Café, thé à disposition. Accueil de Paul d'une grande gentillesse. Tout a été au rendez-vous, voir plus, avec d'agréables surprises. Merci à Paul.

unieke ervaring in adembenemend mooi huis en omgeving
De foto's online spraken ons al erg aan, maar eenmaal aangekomen was het nog vele malen mooier dan verwacht. Liggend op een groene heuvel, tussen de bossen, staat daar ineens een idyllisch huis, kasteelsfeer echter in hele knusse vorm en een terras/veranda met adembenemend mooi uitzicht tussen de groene bomen en natuur op Leuven. Aan de achterkant een heerlijke jacuzzi en een pad dat verder de heuvel op gaat en waar nog een zitplaats met mogelijkheid tot kampvuur is gemaakt. Alles is tot in detail uitgewerkt en je blijft kijken in elke ruimte, binnen én buiten, naar weer iets anders wat opvalt in de aankleding of bouw van het geheel. Duidelijk is, dat er enorm veel liefde in dit huis is gestopt. Wij hebben een week met ons gezin en aanhang hier doorgebracht om ons 25-jarig huwelijk te vieren en zullen deze ervaring en herinneringen nooit meer vergeten! Een absolute aanrader voor iedereen die op zoek is naar iets unieks in een prachtige en rustige omgeving en waar je, ondanks dat je je het gevoel hebt terug in de tijd te gaan, van de meest moderne gemakken voorzien bent. Met heel veel dank aan Paul, een hele fijne en vriendelijke gastheer!

Ruime woning, alles voorhanden. Voldoende servies! Gebruik van koffie en thee inbegrepen. Kruiden aanwezig. Voldoende handdoeken . Heerlijk terras. Overal radio’s in het huis echt fijn. Beneden installatie met collectie cd’s weer ff terug in de tijd. Top huis !! Eigenaar vriendelijk en behulpzaam

Prachtig vakantiehuisje, heel origineel ingericht en gelegen op een prachtige locatie. Welness aspect gegarandeerd door jacuzzi en sauna. Met dank aan de zeer attente en vriendelijke eigenaar Paul, die mede de jubileumeditie van ons fietsweekendje - 20 ste jaar - tot een een groot succes heeft gemaakt. De ontbijtmanden waren zéér goed, met o.a. geweldige verse fruitsla. Dit vakantiehuisje is een aanrader van het allerhoogste niveau !!!!

Schönes Haus, alles sauber und top vorbereitet
Der Empfang von Paul war super. Die Einrichtung ist noch beeindruckender als die Fotos es erahnen lassen. Wir waren mit 6 Mädels das Wochenende dort. Der Whirlpool ist super! In der Küche kann man sich sehr gut selbst versorgen. Von uns daher 5 Sterne. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt Paul!

wunderschönes haus mit terrasse & eine tolle lage am waldrand

Sfeervol, bijzonder en goed verzorgd vakantiehuis
We hebben als vriendengroep een weekend doorgebracht, met 7 personen. Trumpet House is sfeervol te noemen en goed verzorgd. De keuken is compleet en van alle gemakken voorzien. Handdoeken en beddengoed zijn geregeld, het huis is schoon. We hadden mooi weer, waardoor we ook gebruik konden maken van de patio met prachtig uitzicht over de stad Leuven. Zeer aan te bevelen.

Fantastisch!
Waanzinnig mooi huis met een prachtig uitzicht. De luxe van een hotel( handdoeken,badjassen zeepjes enz) en het knusse van een huis. Goede bedden en een heerlijke jacuzzi , wij zijn om en komen zeker terug hier!
