The St. Clair in Frankfort is a charming boutique stay in a beautifully restored historic building, with loft-style studios full of character, an easy walk to downtown restaurants, and a convenient drive to nearby bourbon distilleries and Churchill Downs. There’s even a hidden speakeasy on-site, if you can solve the riddle to get in! Just know that, as with many historic loft properties, you may hear some noise from guests staying above you.

Fabulous boutique hotel. Great location in the upmarket town of Frankfort. Lots of bars, restaurants and coffee shops in directly area. Lobby area is linked to a great bar restaurant downstairs…. Can park outside on quiet side road between 5pm to 10am overnight but other car parking not far. Check in was a bit difficult because there is no staff. and you were supposed to pre check in like an Air B&B. It was a good thing the people at the bar were able to help. The room was wonderful.

The size of the apartment was perfect. It felt homey! The location was excellent for walking to the restaurants and bars. We have stayed in Kentucky previously, in several hotels, however the St Clair has been the best experience by far!

It was very difficult to get my things to the room. I had to park about a block away and take the stairs down to street level (no elevator), walking through pee smellong stairs past a homeless person. Then had to go up more stairs to my room (no elevator). This was very difficult for me with a bad back. The room was 65 degrees, and I received a message from the host not to touch the HVAC in CAPS. That seems like they're yelling at guests to keep the room cold. The room itself was nice, and the price was reasonable.

Simple but elegant for our 3 night stay. Easy access to downtown restaurants, shops and bars. Secret speakeasy bar was quiet and staff was friendly. Would highly recommend.
