We found Redmire a delightful Yorkshire stone village. We liked the location with good access in most directions and ample footpaths in all directions. Lightfoot House fulfilled our expectations and needs. It is welcoming and on a chilly damp Yorkshire day a pleasure to return to. We felt our hosts had taken trouble to make our stay enjoyable. Cottage was lovely, very spacious. No shops in the village but we took essentials with us, although owner did leave us some too . There is a nice pub and the locals where very friendly and helpful. Would book again. PS: The dogs loved it too. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

It's a shame that there is no garden, and this is unclear on the website.

It's a shame that there is no garden, and this is unclear on the website. Also let down by the damp and mould. Bathroom needs an overhaul. Again the damp is an issue in the bathroom, the toilet doesn't flush properly and it would benefit from a shower. Rest of the cottage was comfortable and well equipped. Loved the super king sized bed and the log burner.

A fantastically well appointed cottage.

A fantastically well appointed cottage. The owners have thought of everything, there is nothing that is lacking, it is very comfortable and the local pub just great. If there is a small criticism in that you can't stand up to shower but it is so minor. Just great, and the welcome pack with wine such a surprise. Can't recommend this highly enough, hope to go back

Lovely pub around the corner, very dog friendly as was the cottage with throws, bed, bowls poo bags and treats provided. Excellent base for walking/touring the dales. Would like to return.
