Renovated to a high standard, this charming cottage has retained much of its original character, including exposed beams and a stunning fireplace which now homes a wood-burning stove. There are two bedrooms – one king-size and one single – in addition to a kitchen with dining area and sitting room. Guests can enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the pretty patio garden, or follow the many peaceful walks throughout the village. Note: No infants or children under 6 years of age. Situated in truly beautiful countryside, the picturesque Wensleydale village of Bainbridge is just two miles from Askrigg - known to millions as ‘Darrowby' in James Herriot's "All Creatures Great and Small". Bainbridge is also just four miles from the market town of Hawes, home of the famous Wensleydale cheese, and boasts an extensive village green which comes with its own set of stocks. This excellent holiday location is ideal for walkers, and offers a great base from which to explore the popular areas of Wensleydale and Swaledale, taking in the Aysgarth Falls, Semerwater, and castles at both Bolton and Middleham. The highest single drop waterfall in England, Hardraw Force, is close by too and stands at an impressive 99ft!
