Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We feel your review is unfair. Our building is from 1861, part of the hotel do have smaller stairs. We do not advertise a lift. We do not ask every Guest if they have a mobility issue and you did not requested Ground floor. Your reservation was on a fully booked night. Therefore, if not previously requested, we are unable to make changes last minute as we didn't have rooms available for it. We are glad to hear that our fire alarm works. Unfortunately, the heavy rain that night caused a false alarm that our Night Porter handled as fast as he could. Please, bear in mind there are procedures to check there is no fire and, due safety reasons, everyone is requested to evacuated the building. Hair dryers and Irons are provided if you request them at Reception. We hope the rest of your stay was of your liking. Kind regards.
