Positives-The Titanic is in a beautiful old brick building, situated right next to the water, so it's in a very scenic location. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, the restaurant and bar downstairs were great, especially the few meals I had which were excellent. They have a beautiful spa on the lower level of the building.
The Negative-On my day of check-in, I mentioned to the staff that my room's Air Conditioning was not working. They then sent an engineer to have a look at it, who then told me it was fixed. It was not and as such, I got no sleep in a stiflingly hot room with no window to open. Next morning I mentioned this again and a manager said that he would get an engineer to fix it and when I returned later that evening, to my surprise, I found only a small desk fan that had been left in my room. Once again, the Air Con was not working and I got no sleep. I complained on my final day, speaking to another manager who said that they would fix it or find me an alternate room. I came back to my room later on in the day and found that once again, the Air Con was not working with no room change.
As I checked out on the final day, the receptionist said that there had been a miscommunication and that management should have changed my room but didn't. I was flabbergasted that no one had called my room or knocked on the door to inform me. To have three nights in this hotel with no sleep, no apology from management and to have to pay full price is unacceptable.
