"At this hotel in order to get to the airport. Driver was 10 minutes late. Noticed old fixtures with a scary lighting fixture that was rusting out. At first glance, I thought it was mold. One table lamp didn't work. On the morning of check out, there was a huge water leak coming from under the sink. The night before, I had noticed a dry water mark on the shelf below. So this leak had been there for a while with no attention. Staff were very responsive and hotel smelled and was clean."

"By far the worst Best Western I have ever stayed in. We arrived at the hotel and checked in, check in wasn’t bad. Got to the room and said ok, not terrible, it’s doable. Turned the AC on because it was hot in the room, it never cooled the room down. Went to front desk and was told the AC wasn’t on that I could open the window, asked about a screen and none were available. I was told it is too cold for bugs not to worry. So we open the window to try and cool the room down and shortly after we got the bugs flying in, and then the smell of someone smoking weed right outside all night, finally said screw it and shut the window. Slept with the room at a toasty 80 degrees. The bathroom was terrible, toilet kept running all night. The shower had no pressure and it was either cold or colder. Paint throughout the room was peeling and flaking. Walls are paper thin, heard the neighbors music all night. Staff didn’t seem to care, when I asked about getting something taken care of or about the AC I was told the building is 62 years old, what do I expect?"

"We stayed here for a concert and we were unfamiliar with the area. But it was so convenient and lovely! 2 parking areas with 24-hr. Monitored parking. A small grocery store is downstairs and super convenient. The hotel staff were very sweet-even though everyone was stressed from a huge concert being booked in their city. Our room was amazing, and it made us want to always stay here for our trips in Detroit! We will be back! "

"They're trying to have an avant-garde hotel. If you know anyone who is a minimalist this is the kind of hotel it is. It was clean enough. Looked well enough but there was old paint stains on the floor. The bathtub stopper would not stop the water when I wanted to take a bath for no kind of safety bars in the bathroom tub area. The elevator was broken so you had to walk twice as far to get around or take the stairs three stories down and there's a bus that takes you up. Trumbull pretty far north if you want to go that way you can walk to the downtown area if you felt like it. It's about a mile and a half. There's a little restaurant right next to the hotel. They have very good food. It's actually a brewery so you can do taste testing there if you want. But the food is decent. Little spicy for me but very good. The bed was comfortable and there was one comfortable pillow but I think it was overpriced. I paid $250 and I looked up the street at the joffrey hotel brand new place,up the street which is half of that price. And the entrance to the bathroom had a raised threshold. I tripped twice."
