"The view from the deck was great. I wasn't sure about the water access from the house so we drove to a beach. Upstairs was hot and downstairs was cold. Needs more large pans and a pancake griddle. Beds were very comfortable."

"The house and property itself was cute and had lots of charm. A little difficult to find, the address was not super visible and driveway down to the house could be marked better. There is a 4 car limit for parking and finding overnight parking was a challenge, owner was not super helpful with alternative suggestions. Carlin Bay is private property and the city of Harrison does not allow overnight parking. So if you have more than 4 cars I suggest figuring that out beforehand. Also for accommodating up to 10 people they only have 1 medium size trash bin and have you haul out extra garbage to dumpsters almost a half hour away from the house-pretty inconvenient. Could also use a bigger coffee pot, and a wagon to haul stuff up and down the hill would be an excellent addition to accommodations. House was clean and property was really nice tho."

"Amazing location and we had a great time! Be aware that the decks are not safe for young children. The docks and stairs need some maintenance. However, it was such a great location on the lake and the dock has two boat slips. Plenty of room for a boat, jetski and water toys. The lake was wonderful and we enjoyed the beach area and water toys. The beach is very rocky so you need shoes. We loved watching the sunrise each morning and the patio fireplace. We loved the hot tub and there is a wonderful outdoor shower to rinse off. Overall it was an amazing trip and great place to stay. I would stay there again. The management was wonderful to work with. The check in and check out were very easy."

Paradise Regained: Waterfront Hideaway with Dock

"We loved staying at Paradise Regained. It is not for someone who is looking for convenience or modern features. It is a rustic place to get away and enjoy the simple serene things in life. Great swimming area but not for someone with mobility issues due to steep inclines and spiral staircase. Believe it would be a lot of work to manage young children on this property as well. We rented it 25 years ago and were completely delighted and satisfied with it this time and think it is a special special place. Hoping to be able to stay there again and feel so fortunate to have made the return visit which brought back lots of memories. This is an amazing place for adults wanting to get away and enjoy nature in a nostalgic setting."

"What a lovely property. Real time communication the entire time from the time we booked until the last moment, we sadly walked out the door.When we arrived, the property was spotless and the air-conditioning was on so the cabin was cool and ready for us. I can't think of a thing we change about our entire state. The TV was equipped with a sound bar and all the apps we all know and love, Netflix, YouTube, etc. etc. Have a good night sleep is very important to us and we have spent a fortune on our mattress at home so that is usually the one downside to travel, but the bed in the master bedroom at this property is fantastic. Better than you find at Four Seasons. Honestly, just a crazy good bed. The home is nestled between two multimillion dollar homes so neighbors or the neighborhood are definitely not an issue. Five stars all day."
