Ponderosa Cabin is a secluded cabin on a hilltop with a half a mile driveway. PLEASE Drive a all wheel or four wheel drive vehicle from December to Macrch in case it snows .It's located 1 mile and 8/10s from Old Man's Cave State Park in Hocking Hills(1 mile hike through the property)Enjoy our 2-bedroom, one bath cabin with an electric fireplace. 50" tv with satellite and antenna channels along with wireless internet. Full kitchen with cooking utensils and tableware. Enjoy the 6-person hot tub on large, covered porch with outdoor furniture. Fire ring and gas grill with large yard. WE ALSO HAVE TWO OTHER CABINS ON THE PROPERTY /STARR VALLEY AND DAKOTA TRAIL ,BOTH ARE SIMULAR IN SIZE BUT CLOSER TO THE PARK off Sr 664 . All the guests enjoy the seclusion ,privacy and large area for children and pets . $50.00 pet fee per stay, don't forget to check ✅ the box .(click the box that says Travelers,then the pets 🐕 box comes up .

Very nice stay. The cabin was hot when we arrived and the air conditioning looked like it needed cleaned. My daughter has allergies so we chose not to use it but luckily it cooled off in the evening after opening the windows. Other than that it was a perfect stay. Great location. Make sure you have four wheel drive if there is any weather as the road to the cabin is very steep with loose gravel. Owner was super responsive and we enjoyed the trail to the state park.

My husband & I spent 3 days over Christmas here with our 2 adult kids & a grand-dog. Our son lives 1.5 hrs away & we drove from Nebraska. When they say all wheel or 4 wheel drive is needed to get there in inclement weather, they aren't kidding. The cabin was exactly what I expected based on the listing & reviews. The kitchen is kinda small if you want to do extensive cooking but very sufficient & well equipped for a vacation rental. There were some asian lady beetles as others have mentioned (look like ladybugs) but you are in the middle of the forest. It seemed that they had treated for them as we found more dead than alive. My son & I hiked the main trail at Hocking Hills on Christmas day. There were more people than I expected but it wasn't crowded. We all, including the dog, hiked to Whisperiing Cave the next day. We only saw three people once we got past Lower Falls. We were able to let the dog off leash (I know, very much against what we should have done & we wouldn't have if there were people around. She was within a few feet of us at all times & leashed as soon as we saw those 3 people.) She was in heaven, running a few feet ahead & coming back to check on us to make sure we were still coming. The hot tub was amazing after this hike to ease our tired legs & feet. My husband liked this trip so much he wants to rent a cabin for Christmas every year now.

Such a cute property and would definitely return! Minutes from many of the pet-friebdly Hocking Hills attractions. Huge private yard. Hot tub was a great touch! The hostess was very responsive and helpful, providing info about the area, as well. Absolutely recommend this for your next HH stay!

The location was nice and quiet and the hot tub was great. We loved the cabin and location, it was only five minutes from the main state park entrance. We were disappointed the grill didn’t work since we brought steaks and hamburgers to cook on it and ended up having to cook it in the oven. The only thing I would say is that the cabin needs a little deep cleaning. There’s a lot of dust and that can be easily cleaned up and some nicer, cleaner bedding and pillows to help make it 5 stars.

This cabin is perfect if you are looking for a quiet get away. It has everything you need along with a hot tub, grill, and firepit. We enjoyed spending time relaxing outside on the porch. Property manager Hannah was also very kind and helpful.

Excellent location close to trails. Very private and comfortable. Hot tub was great after hiking all day. Beds were ok, wish I had brought my own pillow. Would definitely stay here again! ( Could use a deep clean of ceiling fans and light fixtures, but this didn't take away from my stay. Also had a little issue with wasps on porch, but that's too be expected this tone of year with all the natural wood) Decorated for the season which was a nice touch.
