The house was perfect in every way. The ocean front view is priceless. The kids had so much fun making smores at the new fire pit. The new game room was enjoyed by all. I highly recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Fabulous memories
This truly is an amazing home….comfortable, clean, very homely. Lots of space, we were 7 but certainly not crowded. Beautifully furnished throughout. The views were amazing. We had a mixed bag re weather, but everyday was beautiful. We managed to walk to the beach and do one of the trails. Had a great evening at the fire pit . St John’s and the environs had much to offer, great restaurants. A great first trip to Newfoundland….memories made. We will be back. Thanks to ‘The Duffy family ‘ for making the process very easy…

This was an amazing house to gather with my extended family. The views are amazing!,, the house was extremely clear and well stocked with utensils ,dishes, linens and towels. OMG! This was the nicest VRBO we have ever stayed at. The house, the property and the views are all stunning! This was our home away from home for 5 nights for us, our adult kids and spouses and 2 grandkids. There was more than enough room and we wanted for nothing. We spotted whales in the bay directly across from the house our very first morning and several times thereafter. This was a vacation and location that won't be forgotten. Unforgettable Stay in Middle Cove
Our family’s journey from Southern California to this 5-star Middle Cove vacation rental exceeded all expectations. The breathtaking ocean view, complete with visible whales from the balcony, captivated us instantly. The home was impeccably furnished and well-stocked, making our stay incredibly comfortable. The in-house sauna was a treat, used daily for added relaxation. The owners were responsive and welcoming, ensuring our needs were always met. Evenings were spent creating memories around the campfire and joining locals at Middle Cove Beach to catch Caplin fish—a unique and enjoyable experience. In short, this was the best family vacation we’ve ever taken, with a perfect blend of luxury and adventure. We wholeheartedly recommend this beautiful rental in Newfoundland.

Wonderful house atop a tall ocean cliff
This rental home is perfect. The house is both spacious and cozy, extremely clean, and well appointed with comfortable beds, a great kitchen, a living room with a fireplace, and even a sauna. The view is spectacular. The location is convenient for walks along ocean headlands and evenings at St John’s pubs. My family had to drag me away.

Comfortable Home in Great Setting
Clean and comfortable modern home. Beautiful setting by the ocean but fyi, the area can be quite windy. The Property Manager was easy to communicate with and was very responsive when we had a few issues. There were problems with the internet and the functioning of the indoor gas fireplace when we arrived. So my only suggestion is that the functioning of everything in the home be checked before each booking. We stayed for 10 days and everything was resolved promptly and professionally in the first couple of days. This is a very nice well kept home in a beautiful unique setting. If you have a rental car, it is really not far from the city if St. John’s and lots of conveniences. We would definitely stay here. again.

Fantastic house and location
We are very grateful to have had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful house! The view alone makes it worth it, but the interior design and comfortable bed makes one feel instantly at home. The house was impeccably clean – thank you Sheila for your attention to every detail! We were so fortunate to stay when the capelin were rolling on Middle Cove Beach because we were able to watch humpback whales and dolphins right from the living room! Our favorite East Coast Trail was Cobbler’s Path, where we also saw whales and dolphins and met many wonderful, friendly Newfoundlanders. It was a short five minute drive to get to this path, and there are other trails and a popular overlook literally right at your doorstep. The house is close to shopping, restaurants, and MUN gardens/trails, The Rooms in St. Johns (which also has an excellent café), Cape Spear, and Signal Hill as well. Witless Bay for whale watches and trails was only a 40 min drive and the Irish Loop to St. Vincent’s Beach was 90 min. We loved it here and hope we can stay again very soon!

My husband and I came for a cool getaway, some fabulous hiking, and to see puffins! We accomplished all three and more. The House was immaculate, kitchen perfect to cook, restaurants even better to not. Beds comfortable, showers and such very nice. There is a firepit in the backyard, and wild blueberries! The shopping on Torbay Road (7 min away) had everything you'll ever need (from WalMart, Starbucks, Marshalls, to whaterver.) the hiking paths are close and spectacular. The road in front of the house is so quiet you won't notice it, and the views are amazing. I recommend the hiking path around St Frances point-beyond words for the view alone. And must go to CORA's for breakfast (but go hungry).

Amazing Stay at Middle Cove Beach House
Paul, we can't thank you enough for sharing your home with us. We had the best week with our family at the Middle Cove Beach House. We spent a lot of time down at middle cove, just in time for the start of the capelin roll. The house felt like a second home, extremely clean and well furnished. We would absolutely love to stay again. It was a real treat and we were so sad when we had to return home!

Love, love, loved this beautiful house. Location is perfect and we never wanted to leave. It was a great base for our touring around the area. 10 mins to the shops on Stavenger and a little bit further into St John’s. Just perfect!
What an incredible week of memories from our stay in Middle Cove! The house is like new, very well equipped/quality, very comfortable and ideal for the group of us to spend time together. Even on the rainy days, we enjoyed the view and watching the waves as we sat by the fire in the living room which had plenty of room for our large group. Access to the East Coast Trail is a 5 minute walk down the hill. The landlord is incredibly responsive and accommodating. The Newfoundlanders we travelled with and met lived up to their reputation as the friendliest in Canada! We highly recommend this for 6 adults, and the hide-a-bed might be OK for kids - not adults.

INCREDIBLE
The ONLY thing that could have made our stay better, would have been staying longer. This gorgeous home is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of St John's, but is only 20 minutes into it's heart. We woke up each morning to whales playing out at the point and ended each day with a beautiful sunset. We loved the meadows AND the cliffs ! Would I return? In a heartbeat! The photos posted are absolutely accurate.

Highly recommended for its location overlooking the water and proximity to airport and St. John's. Spotless and well equipped. Owner was very responsive even over the Christmas holiday. One limitation is the fringe cell phone coverage. Met all of our expectations making for a wonderful family holiday.

Our stay was excellent from the moment we arrived and unlocked the door. Everything Perfect.
My family has enjoyed this property two times. Once in 2014 and again this past June, 2016. The home's view is spectacular and the home easily accommodates 6 adults. It is conveniently located just minutes from downtown St. John's and many of the tourist attractions are within a 20 minute drive. The weather just happened to be perfect during our stay allowing us to take advantage of the nearby walking and hiking trails. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a great vacation in Newfoundland Canada.

Lovely spot!
We stayed here for a week in June. The weather didn't cooperate but it didn't really matter because the house is so comfortable and lovely. And we did manage to see the spectacular view a few times! It is very conveniently located - handy to grocery stores and the Trans Canada Highway, and a 15-minute drive to downtown St. John's. But it's set right on the edge of the ocean and feels a million miles away from all things busy and unpleasant. (Not that there is much unpleasant about Newfoundland!) Great beds; well-equipped kitchen; very clean; and a helpful and communicative owner. Doesn't get much better than this!
