Our stay was amazing! The hosts are so delightful and opening, we felt so at home! We will be back often! The property and exotics just made the trip even better! They also have thought of everything that you could ever need down to a flat iron, I had left mine at home!

Came for moms funeral, ended up having a Relaxing vacation.

Its beautiful. They have thought of everything you might need & then some. Loved watching the exotic animals & the peaceful surroundings. The cabin feels like home. I love the "Andi Sloan" sayings! The cookies were delicious. They even sent messages of love day of funeral. John & Karen are very special people. You can tell how much they love people & the area. Itll be the best vacation every. They also have deer hunts & San Saba has unique stores. Absolutely love San Saba. Wish I coild upload more pics.

Wildlife in the morning, awesome sunsets. Perfect place to get away. So quiet at night. Amenities were t1st class. Very comfortable and everything worked perfect. Highly recommend. Hosts are the best.

Great Rental

This place was 10 times better than we expected. The hosts were so accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. I can't wait to come back and book this place again.

Amazing Hospitality

Excellent service. The host are the nicest folks. Cleanest place we have ever stayed and they supply everything you could possibly need and more. The property is gorgeous as well as the wildlife. Great place to stay if you are visiting the state park or just a weekend away.

Perfect birthday getaway!

We stayed here for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday/our anniversary trip and it was such a nice getaway!! There were two wasp friends we found inside the cabin with us throughout the weekend, but thankfully they didn’t bother us much. Other than that, it was an awesome experience!

A relaxing 5-star getaway!

It was beyond better than my expectations! A true 140 acre exotic game ranch was fantastic. Enjoyed the nature, hot tub, walking trail, homemade goodies, and nearby quaint town of San Saba. Cabin has everything you need home away from home. A great getaway from the hustle bustle of the big city was what we needed to recharge. The owners are delightful and sweet!!! Highly recommend and we want to come back!

Above and beyond!

Karen and John were phenomenal hosts. They truly went above and beyond for us. Our weekend could have ended terribly but their kindness and generosity literally saved the day. The house and ranch were wonderful with all the very thoughtful little touches. We will absolutely be back next year.

Fantastic place!

John and Karen are wonderful and friendly hosts. There was a bottle of wine, cookies, and cinnamon rolls waiting for us. The place was clean and so beautiful. We enjoyed the hot tub, fireplace, feeding the animals, fishing, and going to Colorado Bend State park. It has everything you need! I loved the coffee bar, and the quality dishes and appliances. There was an ice maker, and Le Creuset dishes. The whole experience was wonderful. Thank you

The type of place you want to give 5 stars, but you also want to keep to yourself, it's that good

The most well though out place my girlfriend and I have ever stayed. Attention to detail is incredible! From the moment you walk in to the fresh baked cookies, homemade cinnamon rolls and note from the host, you know it's going to be amazing! One of the absolute best places we've stayed in a very long time! Karen met us at the gate to show us everything we needed to know to fully enjoy the property and her husband John came by to introduce himself and let us know that there was no rush to leave. Overall, cannot recommend them and their property more, but leave some slots on the calendar because we'll be back!

Little slice of heaven

You will fall in love with the location and the property owners. We had the most magical stay and are ready to go back. The animals are absolutely majestic and the peace and serenity of the property is unmatched. You can truly escape from the hectic nature of everyday life. Don't miss the opportunity to get to know the property owners, they are truly the nicest people on Earth. We hope to stay in touch and visit with them again soon! Getaway Gem

Andi’s Cabin is a precious but extremely well appointed place! We took our two grand boys (age11, 10) for a weekend to commune with nature and unplug from electronic devices. All of us did not want to leave! John and Karen are the best hosts! Homemade cookies greeted us and they were delicious ! Boys loved exploring the ranch, feeding the animals,fishing and hot tubbing!! We plan on returning but next time just us adults to enjoy the beauty of the Texas hill country in luxury !!

Perfect Country Getaway

I can't begin to explain how great our stay was. Karen and John are the best hosts I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with. I felt more like a friend and neighbor than a guest to their lovely cabin. The photos do not do this place justice. Believe me when I say that they really have thought of everything from a warm greeting with freshly baked goods, to any charger we would need, access to wifi while still being in the country, and enough things to keep my two boys busy all day! The river is right on the property, and with a quick drive down you get to see a handful of exotic deer that you can even feed! I think I could just write nice things about this place all day. Thank you Karen and John for such a great experience and we look forward to next time!!

Perfect Get Away!!

We were looking for a place to spend our anniversary looking at the stars and sitting in a hot tub. Wow!!! Did we ever find the right place! Karen and John’s ranch is just gorgeous. I can only imagine what it will look like in the spring with all the leaves back in the trees! The cabin was immaculate and had everything we needed and more. The bed was so comfortable, we slept like babies. Every morning we loved looking out the windows and seeing all the exotic animals. It was just a lovely break from the hecticness of life to just enjoy nature in all its peace and quiet. Karen and John are wonderful hosts. We will definitely be going back to unwind again!

Amazing and meant to be!

I found this place after another booking fell through. I realize now it was meant to be! I booked this stay as a surprise for my wife's birthday. Karen and I communicated as she tried to make sure to accommodate us like family. She is so sweet and kind, there was a very nice card and a treat for my wife upon arrival. Karen suggested a place close for a nice dinner and it was amazing also. They stayed in contact (not over burden, just genuine caring) to make sure we didn't need anything and at the end we got to meet them. John and Karen are some of the nicest people I have ever met! I hope you get to stay here and if you do, you have to meet them! They are truly wonderful salt of the earth folks. We plan to bring our whole family with us next time. Great place, amazing views, room to roam and wildlife to see, the cabin is unique and comfortable. By far the best place we have ever stayed!

BEST Host Ever & Amazing Place!

Fresh cookies, snacks, and a personalized chalkboard message welcomed my husband and I for Memorial Day weekend as soon as we stepped into Andie’s cabin - one of the most creative and thoughtfully-adorned cabins we’ve ever seen! The cabin was our base camp for exploring Colorado Bend State Park but turned out to be an entire experience on its own! The outdoor hot tub loosened sore muscles after our long hikes, all with a perfect view of the exotics - whitetail and black buck deer, oryx and even a jackrabbit. Lemon-scented soaps, therapeutic essential oils and shampoos relaxed us even further once we made our way indoors. We enjoyed live music, food and drinks at Bend General Store on our first night - the perfect low-key start to our fun weekend! The following night, we tried out Pecan House Grill in San Saba - such a cute place, and amazing food to boot! Our host Karen was genuinely interested in hearing about our experiences, including restaurants we tried. I’ve never met a host so invested in staying knowledgeable about local attractions in order to offer only the BEST recommendations for her guests! Her heart, soul, and passion for what she does revealed itself many times throughout our stay. Karen even had a bottle of wine, bag of charcoal, and s’mores kit waiting for us after I mentioned we would be grilling at the cabin on our last evening! Five star from start to finish! Thank you for an unforgettable experience! We will return again soon!

The perfect weekend getaway stay at Andi's Cabin!

Andi's cabin was the perfect weekend getaway from San Antonio for my fiance and I. We loved the rustic charm of the cabin, the beautiful views, and the location of this hidden gem. It's about a 25-minute drive to Colorado Bend State Park. I am so glad we found this place! What a treat of a weekend it was. We got in really late, but Karen still answered the phone, and John met us at the gate to escort us to our cabin. When you think of southern hospitality, you think of quiet, nice Texas folks, but Karen and John instantly felt like family. Heck, I even gave John a hug after knowing him for 5 minutes! That's just the kind of people they are. The good ones. Upon walking into the cabin, Karen had a special treat for my birthday out on the table, a card and a handwritten chalk-painted sign. It was an unexpected delight to walk into the cabin to see. The stone and trough shower was one of a kind, the bed was very comfortable, and the AC worked great! I also loved the sliding barn doors! The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need as well. It's just a short walk down to the river, where my fiance and I decided to cast a couple of lines. The fish were jumping out of the water, and we had a great time! It's so hard to pick a favorite part about this weekend because it just kept getting better and better, but if I had to choose- it would be laying in the bed of John's 1940 Ford truck watching the stars at night. That was a bucket list item I got to check off! We are already planning our trip to visit again. We cannot wait to come back! Andi's Cabin is the perfect spot, and John & Karen could not be better people. Thank you both for a very memorable birthday weekend getaway!! :)

I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice relaxing stay. In the middle of a gorgeous ranch with amazing wildlife to view. Great hot tub and outdoor fireplace to make your outside time fun. Hosts were very helpful and kind.Close enough to town that you can make a quick trip in and have numerous restaurants to chose from. Also made a trip to fiesta winery near buy for some amazing wine. 100% would recommend to anyone look for a nice cabin stay

Amazing, beautiful cabin!

From the get go, Karen was very responsive. Check in was super easy. Greeted by Karen and then walked in to a house of surprise goodies left by Karen for my husband’s birthday and our anniversary. The cabin was beautiful and cozy. The hot tub, the walk to the river. The animals around the cabin! One of the best places we have stayed. We will be back soon!! 10 out of 10 stars!!

Peaceful Time on the Ranch

If you love a peaceful country setting, you'll love Andi's Cabin. The owners are wonderful and very responsive if you need anything. If you forget anything, they have thought of it. The cabin is well supplied with anything you might need. There are lots of animals to see at the ranch. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and looking at the stars. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing Cabin and Hosts!

Amazing cabin for a getaway. There’s an awesome hot tub you can star gaze in. You get to explore, feed exotic deer and it’s so close to the river you can walk. Very quiet and so relaxing.The cabin was gorgeous and very clean. Karen and John were amazing and let us know they were there if we needed anything. They surprised us with all kinds of amazing homemade treats and even surprised my kids with s’mores. Such a sweet and friendly couple.Would 100% recommend and we hope to go back again!!!
