The Balham Hideaway

This charming 1-bedroom apartment is located in the vibrant and sought-after area of Balham, just 400 metres from both Balham Underground and Overground Train Stations, providing excellent transport links for your London stay.

Situated on the ground floor, this stylish London flat comfortably accommodates up to two guests. The smoke-free property features a cosy bedroom, a modern bathroom, and a fully-equipped kitchen.

The kitchen includes a dining table, which can double as a convenient workspace, and is fitted with contemporary appliances, including an induction hob, single oven, microwave, and all the necessary utensils to prepare anything from light snacks to full meals.

The bedroom offers a comfortable double bed and a Smart TV for your entertainment. The bathroom, located towards the front of the flat, features a sleek free-standing shower for a refreshing start or end to your day.

Balham offers a perfect blend of a village feel and city convenience, with a fantastic selection of independent cafés, artisan bakeries, stylish restaurants, boutique shops, and a vibrant local nightlife — all just moments from your doorstep.

From here, you’re ideally positioned to enjoy the best of Balham, Clapham Common, Wandsworth Common and Tooting Common. Tooting common has the largest outdoor lido in the uk which is open to the public from April to October.

Each area around Balham has its own charm — from Clapham Common’s lively green spaces and weekend markets to Tooting’s famous multicultural food scene and buzzing market halls. Wandsworth Common, less than a mile away, provides peaceful walking trails, leafy open spaces, and picturesque ponds — perfect for a morning jog or relaxing stroll.

You’ll also find major supermarkets, gyms (Balham Leisure Centre), and co-working spaces all within easy walking distance.

Getting around London from this location is simple and convenient, with Balham Tube 0.3 miles from the property. Balham station also has National Rail which makes it very convenient to get to Gatwick Airport (~40 minutes) and other UK cities.

Each guest will be asked to complete a pre-check-in form prior to arrival and be asked to share a form of governmental identification, Passports are required for non UK residents and UK drivers licence or passport is required for UK nationals.

This property is located in a residential area and guests are asked to refrain from excessive noise, and will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.

We would like to mention the check-in process:
With City Relay, the standard option of self check-in and usually means accessing the property via an onsite smartlock/lockbox. We do also offer the option of an in person assisted check-in and should you request this, one of the team will meet you at the property to hand over the keys and give you a quick tour of the property. For this service a fee of £40 would apply between 4pm and 7pm and a fee of £60 would apply from 7pm onwards.

Guests must leave the property in the same state as when they checked in.
