"The Faraway is our new favorite hotel! I have been coming to the Vineyard for over 25 years and our 4 day staycation at the hotel was the best weekend I have ever had on the island. The location can’t be beat. You are in the heart of Edgartown with everything being in walking distance. The amenities are great and the staff were spectacular. The best part is that the hotel is dog friendly too!"

"We loved our stay! This place had everything we needed for an island vacation: beach access, towels, beach chairs, a cozy private for afternoon naps. Also, the place was comfortable and spotless! Our hosts did a superb job of decorating and equipping the apartment. In fact our hosts even checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. "

"Good eclectic mix of historical construction next to virtually new construction. A wonderful outdoor shower and a farmer’s field out back. House is by a 45MPH country road, which we already knew (my family owns a house about a mile or two away and we pass by this property almost every day we are on-island). A classic Marthas Vineyard summer home."

"Our family had a wonderful time at this cozy home only steps away from a very convenient supermarket and the bus stop that took us to the vineyard ferry. The owner was always available for questions and extremely helpful. We did bbq in the back deck as well as take our little dog McQueen to run in the back yard where she chased the rabbits and squirrels!! "We had such a wonderful stay at this house! The layout was perfect — all the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable for our whole group. We especially loved the bright, open living space and the kitchen, which made gathering together so easy. The house was clean and full of natural light.The back deck with its patio seating was the perfect spot for an early morning coffee, and the large open field was great for a soccer game with our group. Plus, the hot tub was an amazing bonus. It was so much fun after a long day!We truly enjoyed every part of our stay and would absolutely love to come back again!"

"Our stay was actually not a stay! As per usual when we stay at a rental, we do a walk through before bringing our belongings inside. Upon entering, we were immediately hit with odors of mold and mildew. The air in one of the upstairs bedrooms was in the 50's when the thermostat said it was set to 70. In the other bedroom the air was not working at all. We couldn't stay in the house more than 5 minutes with the smell due to both of us having respiratory issues. We called Vacasa immediately and they kept redirecting us and refused to move us to another rental or even refund us so we could stay some place else. They would not get back to us in a timely manner and we had to end up paying for two other locations This is not a good company to do business with. The only reason why I gave them 1 star is because it was easy to locate and the house had the appearance of being clean but not the smell to match. "
