"We went to Shelton to visit family and found peace, quiet and a beautiful cabin. If you like to hike and are adventurous the owners will guide you to amazing trails. The outside of our cabin was the best. A swing, hammocks, and fire pit. We highly recommend this place. We’ll be back next year ."

"This house seriously needs improvement. The shower curtain was completely busted, so when we took a shower, water went everywhere. Also, the house has so little venting and so much moisture trapped into the carpets, etc, that if the windows are shut, there is significant condensation on the windows. There is a musty smell, and the beds are very uncomfortable. That said, the location is IDEAL, the beach and swimming pool are amazing, and the place is dog-friendly - all of which are serious...

"A nice quiet place by the water! I was in the area for a rehab seminar by myself and it was a nice quiet place to relax. Easily one of the best places to have a cup of coffee and watch the wildlife on the water! The down the grassy trail to the steps can be a little sketchy in a downpour but it’s otherwise worth it! "

"Such a cute and cozy spot to relax! The cabin was very clean and comfortable, with great kitchenette and pleasant sitting and sleeping spaces. Bathroom and closet were large, and the umbrella on the porch was a nice touch. The wooded property is beautiful, and my dog and I enjoyed exploring the creek and waterfront access. It would be a great place to vacation with friends or family. I would definitely return here again!"

"We found the cabin to be cozy and comfortable. It was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and open living/dining room was great for our family of 3 to be able to hang out in. The neighborhood was a little bit of a mixed bag but was fine. The little convenience store around the corner was great."

"We loved staying in this cabin that truly is right next to the Nisqually River. Sitting out on the porch watching the river flow by is refreshing in the morning and relaxing in the evening. "Really enjoyed our stay on the island. Comfortable place. Liked having a choice of bedrooms (up or downstairs), and having two bathrooms. We made good use of the kayaks everyday, even when it rained one day. It was difficult to find all the kayak choices since many of the marking on the kayaks are wearing off. We also noted that the one garbage can outside was full when we arrived nd we really struggled to put our own trash in it the we left. It seems it should have been empty when we arrived....

"Cute, small footprint cabin directly on the water with a beautiful view of the mountains. We had a relaxing stay and had the beach to ourselves for nearly the whole time we were there. We fed deer by hand, saw a dolphin and some seals from our deck, and found countless treasures on the beach. A few things to note- it is a studio a frame set up- much smaller than we anticipated from the pictures. The main bedroom is really in the living room right behind the front door with no door or privacy...

The beach was accessible from the house, and with the kayaks and beach equipment, we didn’t need to bring a thing—it was easy and fun.
