It was spacious, nicely decorated, clean, and closely matched the description in the VRBO listing.This VRBO provided a beautiful, comfortable, relaxing, and most enjoyable stay in beautiful Rio Dulce, Guatemala, and if we're in the area again, we will definitely consider staying here again!"

"The location is wonderful, this is a beautiful location you overlook the river and have tons of greenery around. The staff was kind and helpful, very sweet. The rooms that we stayed in were very run down, the water came out of the faucet totally cloudy and yellow. Our sheets were thin and very poor quality, the towels were torn, in general old and run down. With a little TLC and an update in mattresses, bedding and towels, this would be the perfect stay."

"This was a very cool place. Staff was awesome. I did the luxury suite. Hammock was heavenly with the rain falling. I felt like a real guest. They cooked special breakfast for my wife and I. They had massage area. Please, put this in context, This is not your Waldorf Astoria, and if you want that, why are you even in Honduras? If you want a safe place that will treat you right and has everything you need, come here."

"We had a good stay at hotel Villamil. Rooms were nice and clean, good a/c. Location was great. Very close to the town square. The coffee and typical breakfast were good. Breakfast staff was very friendly. Our only recommendation would be to expand breakfast hours, 7.30 to 9am....on a weekend when you want to sleep in is too early. We also didn't like that you have to decide the day before what you want for breakfast (4 options) and at what time."

"Baotique Marina is truly a hidden paradise in Río Dulce. The pictures online simply do not do justice to the breathtaking natural beauty of this eco hotel. Surrounded by lush nature, every moment felt peaceful and magical. Waking up to the sound of howling monkeys and the songs of countless birds was an unforgettable experience. The cabins are small but very comfortable, perfectly designed to blend with the environment. We appreciated their eco-conscious approach, including the recommendation to use the air conditioning only during the nighttime. One of the most unique parts of the experience is that the hotel is only accessible by water, requiring a short 5-minute boat ride that makes the stay feel even more exclusive and adventurous. Every morning around 6 AM, I would walk to the front of the hotel just to sit in the tranquility of nature, surrounded by singing birds and the peaceful river views. It truly brought peace to my soul. If you are looking to disconnect from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with nature, this place is absolutely worth visiting."
