「We could not stay at this condo due to the active wildfire, highway closure and hazardous smoke. We tried to cancel 2 days before check in as we left the Penticton area early to allow evacuees to occupy our room, but this host refused a partial refund or cancellation, showing zero flexibility.
They even kept our full cleaning fee despite the property never being occupied.
By releasing our dates, the host could have rebooked to house local evacuees.

「The apartment was perfect. Plenty of space, well appointed and very comfortable. The location is great for walking, shopping and dining. My only complaint would be with the 1valet app that is needed to access the apartment and building, including parking. For a short visit, it was a bit of a hassle. It would work one time and not the next. There was a key card in the apartment and we found that easier to use.」
