「Respite was used as a hub to places we could walk to…it was hot but that’s not your fault. We were close to most to places we wanted to visit. We ate breakfast there at most days…delicious. The area was activity.filled. We went to museums, stores and galleries. Everything was in walking distance. Also there are a variety of restaurants we enjoyed. Plus two fans, which if you travel much and are used to sleeping with a fan on, makes for a great night of sleep. 「Excellent place to stay to explore the eastern portion of the Shawnee National Forest. We used it as a launching point to see the Garden of the Gods, Cave in Rock, and Dixon Springs State Park.
