The cabin was really nice and very clean. The front porch has a beautiful view of the mountains which was a wonderful place to have our morning coffee. We enjoyed a walk to the nearby lake and the peaceful surroundings. The cabin is conveniently located to Shenandoah National Park and the cute town of Luray. We would definitely stay here again.
This property was an excellent choice for our needs visiting the park. We loved the quiet solitude of the property and easy access to the park and services in nearby Luray. We hope to return.
We enjoyed the stay. The place is beautiful and the views are gorgeous. It's peaceful there. The heat/AC units have been recently updated so the noise and inconsistent temps from previous years are gone and the temperature and noise were both a huge improvement. This was our second stay in the past few years at this place and we loved it.
Property was in a beautiful private location. Host provided a pack and play, high chair, and baby gate. Cabin was very clean and spacious. Host was responsive.
Absolute gem in a private setting with nature all around. A recreation center with gorgeous views and nice trails right off the property. This cabin was clean, cozy, and had all the comforts of home. Furniture was great and fully stocked kitchen with great appliances . Missie is wonderful to work with. Definitely one of our favorite spots.
Had a great time at the cabin. Owner provided great addition to Google directions to make finding it in the dark easy. Nice space for two plus lovely basement for kids to sleep and play. Great views of the mountains and local lands. Lots of wildlife including fireflies and turkeys walking through the field. Wonderful time, thanks.
Cozy cabin for a couple or small family. Located between the town of Luray and the Caverns on one side and the Shenandoah National Park on the other, it is reasonably close to all. It is far enough out of town that you have unimpeded views all around of the mountains. A short walk across a small field takes you to Lake Arrowhead recreational area. Be prepared for a long-ish gravel drive.
We had a good stay at the Cabin Fever. It's a great location close to the town of Luray and the park. The place would be comfortable for 4 guests with a cozy setting and enough entertainment for all. Please note that there is no paper towels or bath toiletries. Also, if you plan to cook during your stay, tap water is not clear in appearance so carry purified water. Otherwise, it was relaxing to spend time surrounded by mountains and rainy clouds.
We had an incredible stay at this charming cabin! From the moment we arrived we were struck by the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, which truly made this a serene and peaceful getaway. The cabin was clean, well-equipped and incredibly comfortable, providing all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. We enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porch after a long day of hiking. It was so peaceful to sit back and unwind and watch the deer and wild turkeys that wandered by. The location was also perfect for exploring Shenandoah NP. Fall colors were stunning this year. We would love to come back! Highly recommended for anyone looking to recharge in a beautiful setting.
Missie's place was excellent for our family of two adults and two young kids. There were lots of kid-friendly amenities - baby gate, step stools, booster seat. We loved the secluded feel of the property. Even though it does share a field with a neighbor, it was easy to forget that, and the downstairs seating area looks out on farm buildings and fields only.
Missie was very communicative, ready with advice and help when we had a question.
The property is 10 minutes to downtown Luray and not much longer to Shenandoah. It's a quick walk or quicker drive to Lake Arrowhead and its beach - now free but unstaffed.
We loved dinners in the open kitchen, rocking in the porch, and watching the fields light up with fireflies in the evening. Bring your bug spray! This is a well-maintained but otherwise natural area, just as intended.
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin - 15 minute drive to Shenandoah national park. Newly remodeled cabin in a secluded, quiet location near Arrowhead Lake.
