We were not aware of this until after the free cancellation period was over. There is no mention in the listing or confirmation that the passport would be the only document accepted. “Lovely hosts. The cottage was clean, comfortable and very well equipped, don’t worry if you’ve forgotten anything! Has been decorated since photographs were taken so now more country cottage than Scandinavian. Terrace and outside of property very dusty but it is a farm yard and the weather was extremely hot. “We came for our 10 year anniversary and It was the best staycation I’ve ever had. So natural, peaceful, enjoyable and a real break from reality. We had the best time and the little details are so thought out even down to all the info you’re sent before your stay that you can save as an app to your phone. The lambs are the cutest especially when they get zoomies of an evening. Bed was super comfy. The food boxes are lovely too. 10/10 and will be returning”

“A great place to stay for us as a stop over on the way to France via the tunnel (20 mins drive).Really comfortable beds, very clean, newly renovated, with a small sitting room and two beds with 2 bathrooms. Just what we were looking for and they let dogs stay. We usually stay in a Premier Inn but this was far better value, plus the pub downstairs was excellent. Good choice of beer, great food and perfect hospitality - what more could you ask for?? Fully recommended!”

“I stayed in this gorgeous cottage/annex for one month.It is furnished to a very high standard and is probably the nicest place I have ever stayed for comfort, cleanliness and having every imaginable appliance in the kitchen.Everything is done with great care, the welcome hamper full of goodies, fresh flowers on the table., books, magazines, extra towels in the bathroom. “Great location. Staff were friendly. Room was comfortable with plenty of facilities. Air conditioning was great. The only thing I would say negatively is that the shower head is very low for anyone 6’0” or over.”

“Great little room for a quick stay for 2. There were no issues with the shared bathroom. Very simple stay with a lovely view of Dover Castle. However, there wasn't a proper pen for the check-in/check-out log. Other than that, it was a very easy stay. I'd definitely come back.”
