“Lovely cabin. Amenities were very good, well stocked kitchen too. The only reason not to give 5 stars was that the cabin could have been cleaner when we arrived. There was lots of hair on the box spring in the main bedroom and floors needed sweeping. Otherwise great and we would rent this again. ”

“This was by far the best stay we had since booking with VRBO. We stayed for a weekend getaway for my wife’s birthday and everything was perfect. “Although we really enjoyed our stay in the area and the host was very responsive and great to work with, the overall cleanliness and condition of the property didn’t match expectations for the price.When we arrived, we had to rewash most of the dishes, cookware, and utensils before using them. “We cannot recommend the Great Escape enough! Don and Lina are wonderful hosts who provided a clean, comfortable, and calm experience. The backyard was perfect for our pups to run around in, and the hot tub was fantastic after long days hiking in the beautiful mountains. The beds are super comfy and we always woke up refreshed. “Our stay at the whippoorwill nest was fantastic! We had everything we needed and then some. The view was beautiful and the home was cozy and comfortable. There were friendly animals that stopped in for visits ( 2 cats, 2 hens, 1 rooster and a turkey) none were bothersome at all and i enjoyed watching them out in the field from the window. I will definitely keep this place in mind for next time i travel to the area. Two thumbs up for sure!”
