Discover a peaceful Smoky Mountain retreat at Wilderness Ridge. Situated on a high ridgeline with seasonal mountain views, this log home offers privacy and tranquility. Natural light and mountain charm fill the home, with a stone hearth and floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the mountain scenery. The modern kitchen, equipped with stainless steel appliances and a double oven dual fuel range, makes cooking for friends and family a delight. Spacious living areas and cozy bedrooms, including an upper-level main suite with a private balcony, provide comfortable accommodations.

Wilderness Ridge offers a game room, hot tub, and outdoor entertaining area for everyone to enjoy. The game room, located on the lower level and accessible only through the garage, features a pool table, card table, and a gas fireplace. Take in the seasonal mountain views from the covered porch and hot tub, or relax on the patio with its stone fireplace, dining area, and swinging bench. Evenings by the wood fire, gazing at the moonlit horizon, make Wilderness Ridge a perfect Smoky Mountain vacation rental for relaxation and scenic beauty. This vacation rental is located in Maggie Valley and is approximately 48 minutes to downtown Asheville.

• 4WD/AWD Recommended. During winter months or inclement weather, a 4WD/AWD vehicle is recommended. We recommend one with sufficient clearance (i.e SUV, Truck, or raised Sedan).
• We strongly recommend CSA Travel Insurance to protect your reservation against unexpected events such as inclement weather, medical emergencies, or travel delays.
• Unreliable GPS. Please note that GPS does not work for this location. Please review and take note of our written directions before departing on your trip.

Let me say this. This home is up the mountain on a mountain road. You should have a 4x4 or AWD vehicle. Now with that said the home is amazing inside and out. We have nothing negative to say and will rent this one next year

Overall, the property was very nice, clean and well-kept. Furnishings and bedding were very comfortable. Do you be prepared to climb a rough gravel road to get there. A little disappointed when we wanted to relax and watch a movie as the satellite service was very poor even without Storms present.

Enjoyed the house, except for all stairs --- not senior-friendly. That info left out of description. Good grounds structure, but could use some sprucing up. Tough roads leading to property. DEFINITELY need all-wheel drive vehicles.

Awesome property

As others may have mentioned, really use the printed driving directions. The road in the neighborhood is narrow and gravel... I never met a car coming the other way, but if I had, someone would have had to do some really good backing up. Following GPS, you come in "backward", and one switchback would not have been possible without 4WD. The property itself was amazing, we had a blast.

Mountain Getaway!

The house was beautiful, and the scenery was fantastic. All communication was fantastic and it was easy to access the home upon arrival. No question, 4 x 4 is needed as this is truly a Mountain house and a gravel road with switchbacks. The house was clean and well-kept, beds were excellent and appliances were very nice. We had a great vacation and would strongly consider returning. Thanks for a great ski weekend!

Beautiful home and location

The house was beautiful and the location was great. Website listing a little misleading with the biltmore tickets, kitchen supplies and internet. The kitchen ware in poor condition or non-existent. Only one pot and small pan to cook in. A little difficult for our thanksgiving preparations but we made it work.

Property Misrepresented, Unclean, Poor Communication

After arriving and excited about our weekend, we were unable to locate the property, Note their directions state 0.3 miles once you turn in, it is actually 3.0 miles. We called the number for help, no one ever called us back, had to locate on our own. After we arrived, found mouse dropping on beds, and thru out the house, Fire place did not work, which you know is apart of a cabin experience, we called , they came out the next day and said sorry we cant get it to work. The out door fire place/pit area was so grown up with weeds we could not sit around that area, We had to move the grill from the location under the stairs , just to use it. Basically , anyone looking at this property be aware, the pictures misrepresent this property and in our experience, no one came out the day before and cleaned or checked to make sure the house worked or was ready for us. It was not cheap and the property management company, truthfully acted like they really did not care. Also Note I don't leave reviews, Not my personality, But I felt this time it was merited.

Amazing Mountain Getaway!

This place was amazing and we cant wait to come back again! The upstairs floors are gorgeous! We enjoyed the view, hot tub and game room immensely. Loved that it was tucked up away atop a mountain and very private! The only problem is we did plan a long enough stay. You wont regret staying here!

It was a very nice clean place we enjoyed it very well the only problem was who directions was a little messed up but we finally figured it out after we got there. Very nice property with great views. Nice outdoor area and fun game room. Only complaint was condition of some of the furniture in the game room. Card table chairs had casters that were broken on every chair! Also sparsely equipped for cooking. No pitchers, few bowls, etc..

Beautiful cabin with breath taking views!!!

We really enjoyed most of our stay, When we arrived and got settled, we were headed downstairs to play pool and happened upon s snake inside the garage. Needless to say we never played pool or ventured downstairs again. I am TERRIFIED of snakes, and after that experience, I spent the weekend “on guard”. So as beautiful as the cabin was and as relaxing an atmosphere, we did not fully enjoy it because of our first night.
