In the middle of nature, 4 hours from Paris / Nantes / Bordeaux / Lyon 3 hours from Toulouse (A20 access at 2km), the location is ideal for groups of 2/3/4 families or friends who want to meet from all over from France: Facing south with panoramic views of the Limousin bocage, located on a family property (former farm of one of the castles of the Bastide).
The house for its oldest foundations, dates from the 17th century. It is an authentic longère limousine, with the adjoining rooms, the low windows, and a common life in the room where the fireplace is located. Outside there is an old bread oven.
The gîte du Grand Domaine is an old farm, which became a farm in the 19th century when the neighboring chateau was built. When the estate was divided, the farm was split in two, and the house became private property.

INTERNAL RULES OF THE GITE FOR A BETTER WELCOMING OF TENANTS
GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR RENTAL SEASONAL FURNITURE
The tenant may not under any circumstances claim any right to remain in the premises at the end of the period initially provided for in this contract.
The tenant will enjoy the rental in a peaceful manner and make good use of it, in accordance with the destination of the premises.
The rental can in no case benefit third parties.
The owner will provide the accommodation in accordance with the description he has made of it and will maintain it in serviceable condition.
The tenant is required to insure the premises entrusted to him or rented. He must therefore check whether his main housing contract provides for the vacation extension (vacation rental). Otherwise, he agrees to contract a temporary extension of insurance with his Company.
An inventory and inventory is made on arrival and departure, according to the operating rules of the gîte and signed by both parties.
The number of tenants may not, under any circumstances, exceed the capacity indicated, without the prior written consent of the owner.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR RENT OF THE GITE
THE COTTAGE IS ENTRUSTED TO THE RENTER WITH EQUIPMENT IN WORKING CONDITION, CHECKED BEFORE EACH RENTAL. HOWEVER,
ANY INFORMATION ON A POSSIBLE POOR CONDITION OF THE GITE EQUIPMENT MUST BE MADE BY THE TENANT WITHIN 24 HOURS OF OCCUPANCY.
1 / Do not go upstairs with your outdoor shoes, because the house is on one level and the land around it is dirt and dirty.
2 / As far as possible, avoid moving furniture, or put all the furniture in its place when you leave (including the outdoor furniture).
3 / SECURITY: If the immediate garden around the gîte is well secured, the surrounding meadows belong to other owners, in particular to farmers; Particular attention will be paid to children for their safety so that they do not go to play in agricultural buildings, or in the meadows beyond the fence of your house (presence of cows and wells, therefore danger or potential damage). In the same way, it will be necessary to take care that the children (or the adults) do not climb on the small tiled roof which covers the cellar located on the side of the house.
4 / To be able to use the fireplace, the traveler can bring their own wood, a wood package is also possible on request.
5 / For bedding, the traveler can bring their sheets (covers / single sheets and duvet covers) or request a sheets package for 130 euros or 10 euros / bed, to be returned on arrival at the premises. The beds are all fitted with mattress covers and there are all the comforters / pillows and warm blankets needed on site in the gite.
6 / The furnished rental does not include tablecloths, bath mats, washcloths, tea towels and towels. A towel / washcloth package is however possible on request.
7 / Avoid going too far into the terrain with the cars (park your car only on the gravel provided for this purpose) because the terrain is sloping, cars can get bogged down and not go up the terrain.

8 / An outdoor gantry is available to tenants and is prohibited for children over 10 years old because it will not be strong enough.
9 / The consumption of gas (heating and hotplates) and electricity is not included in the rental cost and will be due in proportion to consumption (according to meter readings at the entrance and exit of the premises and signed by both parties).

Housing:
The house is very healthy because it is built on a rock and on a hill. It is very well insulated, in particular the roof is redone and perfectly insulated, it keeps heat in winter (especially when the fireplace is lit) and keeps it cool in summer (very dry dry stone walls) .
3 bathrooms will allow each family to have their independence in the interior space.
The common room is very warm, for fireside evenings in winter, or large tables. The interior architecture has kept the proportions of the old days, with doors and windows with rustic dimensions. Openings were created during the renovation for a very beautiful light inside the house.
All the electricity in the house is redone, and provides all the electrical comfort for everyone's needs.
The kitchen is spacious and very well equipped and functional, all the small household appliances are available for cooking and gastronomy enthusiasts (yogurt maker, 2 raclette machines, waffle machine, mixers, substantial cookware ...).
The rooms are very spacious, comfortable and warm. 2 bedrooms upstairs are located in the attic converted for renovation in the old grain attic. One of the bedrooms located on the ground floor is located in the old renovated pig barn, with picture window giving a plunging view of nature, the oaks, the fruit trees of the grove.
Outside, there is a portico for children under 10, and a large area of 3000 m2 for playing.
